Daily Express. “Free loaf of bread for every reader”. The uk ‘recovery’ must be almost as stellar as ours. Meanwhile, Redacted eyes a beautiful estate – money no object.

It’s not Zappone they should be focusing on at all here.

I’m not saying she isn’t at fault because she certainly is, and she’s just digging herself into a greater hole.

This is just shifting focus away from Noirin & co.

As shrewd an operator as Zappone is, Flathead Frannie and Noirin, her best buds, won’t hesitate for a second before they throw her under the bus.

      1. mildred st. meadowlark

To be fair though, Zappone wouldn’t be much of a loss.

I’d much rather see the other pair shafted.

‘As shrewd an operator’… who the hell is Zappone?? Stop going on like she was supposed to be some political messiah.. Political filth like the rest of them.

I think it’s up to us, literally Mildred, to let these conniving fupps that we’re not thick.

It’s circle the Teflon wagon time and because of the makeup of it (Fianna Gael) it won’t happen naturally…this govt has to go and the liars @ Noirin ltd have to be investigated properly by someone outside the jurisdiction and properly prosecuted.

Public protest is what’s needed, seriously (haven’t had a beer) I think it’s us V them.

Martco, couldn’t agree more. Although I’ve become ‘news-shy’ for the sake of my sanity, it’s impossible to ignore this, and the thousands of other iniquities that we, the remnants of a people, have tolerated for far too long. I read the reports and in my head I hear Lloyd Cole asking me if I’m ready to be heartbroken. Can’t stand too many more breakages at this stage. This is a mere symptom of the foul infection which has rotted this state from within, since its birth. Bring on the anti-biotics.

        1. martco

          ah Lloyd Cole!
          indeed
also a case of Manic Street Preachers and if you tolerate this then your children will be next!!

I’m angry. There’s nothing worse than what Maurice McCabe and his family have been thrown into.

and now Stasi style we have files with dirt aboard waiting to spring out and surprise anyone who thinks about interfering with state “business” ?!? maybe you or I have a file, who knows

on a simpler level….I have reason now not to trust the government….we kindof accept that govt is like Callans Kicks In real life somehow we’ve allowed that buffoonery to roll along….but this is different they’ve been caught out and there’s lying and spin going on now like never before to cover backs and calm everyone. This is what the term “Sinister” is about.

I think if you can’t broadly trust your govt (beyond your economic views or political beliefs) it has to go

and as for the guards involved, suspend them prosecute them and break up this ring now

          Public protest

      2. mildred st. meadowlark

I think that it’s certainly heading that way. There’s huge anger over this, and rightly so. My heart aches for Sgt McCabe and his family.

How can people have anything but distrust for this government if this is their response to whistleblowing? The role of the government is purportedly to care for the citizens of the state, the very people who elect them. It is very clear that the government does not care for the people who put them there, only for the perpetuation of the status quo or the success of their political career.

What they have done, what has been allowed to happen on their watch – ‘a clerical error’ – is an absolute fucking disgrace.

I cannot express how bloody angry I am.

        1. Brother Barnabas

You’ve all expressed it very well.

I genuinely think this issue is more important than anything we’ve faced to date – of more real and symbolic importance than the water protests, the evisveration of FF etc. This has crossed a line that I never would have believed a government of this state to have the brazen audacity to cross. If they get away with this (and a couple of weeks of hand wringing and negative headlines doesn’t count), we’ve little to cling to.

          1. Sheik Yahbouti

Fair enough Brother, but the attempts by you and others on a weekly basis to minimise the importance and the effect of the Water protests really offends me. These protests to prevent commodification of our resources have awakened the people to the fact that sustained public protest actually works, and can be applied to many situations. There had been no real protest in this country since the PAYE marches of the ’70’s. Those following were either trade disputes (BOOOOOH), or Farmers protests (entirely right and wholesome). So enough of the party line, thank you.

          2. Brother Barnabas

not sure what you’re on about, sheik. I’ve never criticised or attempted to diminish the water protests. and party line? I’ve no allegiance, association or gra for any party – just a healthy disregard and dislike for pretty much all of them. the brother is an island.

          3. Brother Barnabas

can’t help it – it’s the blueshirt in me; trying to figure out a way to monetise the apology.

  3. jusayinlike

Zappone, Fitzgerald and Noirin squirm and duck for cover..

Clair Daly completely mangling fine gael

A bruising week for the puppet government

  4. Coles

Frances Fitzgerald was Minister for Children (2011-2014) when the Tusla file was forged. Just a coincidence of course.

  5. martco

    any IT heads on here?
somethings been bugging me about this copy paste horsepoo last couple of days

I may have worked in environments like Tusla in a past work life. One of the asks during the design & implementation of a user interface is to provide certain lockdowns throughout the stack dependent on what is in play…say perhaps it’s Win + SAP…to prevent files being removed via usb and the like….normal enough requirement in secure environments to design in ctrl-c ctrl-p prevention. I’m just wondering…..

    1. martco

…wondering if its even possible for a data entry personnel to achieve a copy paste accidentally on the secure CRM system likely to be in use by Tusla for managing case files

see where I’m going with this?
