It would appear that there is no death too painful or prolonged that would be bad enough for Basher Al Assad.

Gerard Butler outof Law Abiding Citizen would know what to do with him

…rumours of the regime change in Syria promoted by the west appear to be greatly exaggerated. The resultant civil war which has cost the lives and displacement of millions seems to be reaching its end with the defeat of western backed forces…

Yep. Your man Putin seems to have won the proxy war, and Assad gets to stay.
But sure ‘The West’ didn’t win, so it’s fine then.

…nothing proxy about the Russian intervention and active support from Hezbollah…if crooked Hillary had been elected the proxy war with Russia would have started in Syria…the world is a safer place without her…
Kieran NYC
Yep. Much better the Russians get to do everything they want.
Just ask the residents of Aleppo.

Clive James is looking in much better fettle these days.

New career I see. Better perks.

In the IT, it appears litter louts in Dublin aren’t paying fines. One rascal returned notices to DCC and claimed he didn’t recognise the warden and didn’t have an international treaty? – What? – Rubbish (pun intended).

Land League types.
Lock them up.

Bad publicity for Rory! Or is it? Golfers in the US being notoriously Republican.
I would imagine that, given his efforts to avoid political statements on this side of the pond, he would have preferred it didn’t happen, but when the leader of the country you are in decides they want to golf with you, and you’re already on the course, it’s probably hard to avoid.
I suppose you can respect the office and not the individual.

I would imagine that was it. Turning Trump down for a quick round in the moment, could be more trouble than it’s worth.
Also just because he played him doesn’t mean he likes him by any stretch.
For clarity I’m not really a golf fan nor a Rory fan. I do like Dustin Johnson though. Cos he knows how to party!
Bertie Blenkinsop
Piece of useless trivia:
If you ever see Dustin doing really well in a tournament then collapsing like a flan in a cupboard on the last day, that’ll be because I backed him.

:-)
I feel your pain, I only throw down a few bob on the golf, full weekends entertainment (if you’re lucky)

Is it a golfing thing? I wouldn’t wish to be on the same continent as Trump, let alone share a few acres of well maintained lawns with the guy.
