I’ve always wanted to forecast the weather after the main news bulletin.
    Does Broadsheet have a weatherperson?
    I’ll do it.

    Tonight: Dark.
    Tomorrow: Brighter.
    Tomorrow Evening: Grand stretch.

Excellent. How sad I am that I never joined a state agency or the civil service. It seems that the more eggregious your performance the more promotions and benefits will flow your way. Mind you, having a conscience might tend to disqualify.

Very stupid, if not inappropriate, photograph on the front of Irish Times. Two kids popping out the doors of St Patrick’s College (Seminary) after all the dreadful church abuse stories.

    1. Clampers Outside!

Children being pictured in the doorway of a church is considered “very stupid, if not inappropriate” because 2017 and the intolerance of the left? All priests are paedos? Atheism is best?

It’s the door way. That’s it, kids shouldn’t hang around in doorways, that’s it, in it? The kids will go mental ! They’ll become…. unhinged or something !

Coveney and Fine Gael have no problem fighting the EU and facilitate Apples tax dodges. But he feels he cannot risk fines from the EU, if we don’t introduce water bills. Privatisation of our water has always been Fine Gaels endgame.

Always, always, always – and must be resisted until the last ditch. Hedgefunds world wide aided industry in lobbying for a fresh ‘commodity’. They believe they are onto a winner – an absolute necessity that people can’t live without. However, resistance is building and people may (must) yet succeed in safeguarding their commonly held birthright.

I’d wager the people have won this one. And I can’t imagine another administration would be foolish enough to have another go at water in this country.

“…the people have won this one.”

          – I don’t understand this attitude; “the people” will still have to pay for the water in the end anyway, but it just means that people who water their lawns everyday won’t have to pay more than anyone else.

Seriously, of all the extra taxes that people could complain about, this is the one that they choose to focus on; it boggles the mind.

I’ve never once seen one person watering their lawns in Ireland. Never. Not once. This isn’t Arizona you know. You might see them out with a watering can watering a few potted plants but generally it tends to rain here every so often..

And we’ve always had to pay..water isn’t a new requirement. The money will and has been gotten from general taxation – that’s everyone in the country btw.

Water should never be made into a commodity for private profiteering..and that’s where it’s headed..just like housing.

Coveney might initiate a few Ansbacher criminal procecutions when he becomes Taoiseach. Then again maybe not. Too close to home.

Coveney following his bilderberg briefing to the letter. Uncle Peter must be so proud of him.
