Stay classy there, Irish Sun. What a disgusting front page “story”. As if it was the sailors fault and he didn’t deserve being airlifted. Disgraceful.

“Only” severed a thumb? FFS! Next we’ll find out that the sailor wasn’t Irish. It was a horrible, tragic incident, but blaming the sailor for getting injured and his colleagues following the absolutely correct procedure is reprehensible.

But that’s what you expect from a pukebucket of a newspaper.

        re. The Sun
given it’s track record (Hillsborough etc) hardly a surprise really….theres always someone to blame innit?
IT aren’t a million miles off this either. more subtle but the inference is there for me. it’s the sailors fault for getting injured, it’s the Air Corps fault ‘cos weren’t available to provide support etc. someone’s fault all emotive low standard junk which will hopefully get someone to make a purchase
you’d wipe your arse with it if it wasn’t so tough and horrible

Yes the Sun is a rag of a paper & I’ve never bought it. However just because you don’t like it that doesn’t mean it should be “excluded”
If you’re offended by an article in another paper (say tomorrow) should that paper be “excluded” also?

Very interesting point made by the Chairman of the Irish Patients Association. There is no hysteria attaching to patient deaths and “serious injury”. Could it be the fact that you can attach blame, punish and fine drivers – but nobody working in our ‘systems ‘ can ever be blamed or punished.

Nice win for The Breffni Blues. The former All-Ireland U21 team moving up to Senior, great to see.

Remember that day when Danny Dyer wasn’t on the front of The Star?
    Me neither.

In fairness they do occasionally change it up and put his daughters boobs on there instead
