It’s an easy spin – former Commander of the IRA/ former Deputy First Minister – the Red Sheets are ablaze.

That was more brutal than I thought. Funny to compare it with the Irish Daily Mail which seems to have gone in the completely opposite and avuncular direction.

But a good representation of the attitude of the british establishment towards northern Ireland, they just want to ignore it..

Only the Paddy Sun and Paddy Mail went with McGuinness full on the fonts. Musta been feeling guilty when they saw the Brit editions.

Odd choice of front cover for the Morning Star, of all papers, for a man who was involved with murdering British workers for much of his life.

…extraordinarily widespread and positive coverage to mark the death of a man of war turned man of peace…and then there are the what the British call quislings…eh BoG_R

You’re right, they have fairly whitewashed his violent past.

‘Quisling’… what a fupping dipstick; if being opposed to setting off bombs in pubs or burning alive members of the Kennel Club makes me a Quisling, well, colour me Quisling.

Such a shame McGuinness’ death wasn’t more painful and prolonged than it was.
He might then have experienced some of the agony of the people he personally tortured.
