Strange but you can get them, along with other US sweets in Urban Outfitters… or alternatively several of the boutique sweet shops in town. Theyre lovely.
Reese chocolates are muck. As are most American chocs, IMHO.
There.
Now.

Agree Clampers. I was nearly thrown out to in Hershey Park in Pennslyvania for breaking open a big bag of Buttons for the yanks to taste proper chocolate. Still, I’d mainline Butterfingers if I got a chance.

Damn butter fingers…..mmmmmm
Talismania!
Butterfingers are freakishly good, provided they’re not stale.
there’s an episode of The Simpsons where Bart & Lisa are in Europe and are introduced to European chocolate – I think they’re in France / UK – and there’s a voice over / character who warns them of the really, really high sugar content of European chocs… then Bart & Lisa go off on a trippy mr whippy montage of two sugared up kids munching there way around London (or Paris, can’t recall)….
Anyway, my question, I know cadbury’s has less cocoa than many chocs, sure it’s a ‘milk’ choc after all.
But is the high sugar content really that big a % compared to US chocs…. anyone?

Dairy Milk looks like it has about 10% more sugar than your standard Hershey’s chocolate, surprisingly enough…
I have Fry’s anecdote… :) I was on a stag party heading down to Westport about eight years ago. The carriage was full of 20 something lads from Dublin, all fairly wild lads… so the groom informed me. I was the oldest by about nearly ten years.
Anyway, I produced a Fry’s chocolate from my bag about half way there, after the lads had a few drinks, after all, it was easily 10.30am by that time. Within seconds, before I’d had qa bite, three lads burst out laughing, grabbed me choc and proceeded to sing ‘look what grandpa’s brought oin the stag’ or something to that effect :)
It was funnier at the time, unfortunately.
That was the day I realised I’m not a spring chicken anymore :( …but was mid morphing into a silver fox Adonis*.
Snickers Almond? What the fupp, hai !
What witchery is this… I’ve had the Snickers Hazelnut, which was * drools * just lovely…. where can one get a Snickers Almond ?
You ever have one of them peanut lion bars?
Jaysus tonight.
…only a couple of weeks back, didn’t realise it until I bit into it, lovely :)
Mmmmmmm
My favourite chocolate bar. When you find one it’s like unearthing the Holy Grail.
I have a full box of them here, Mildred ; )
Give them to me…
FIGHT !

As 99% of American chocolate involves peanuts, it’s very important to eat before the rancidity sets in. http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/explainer/2011/10/do_candy_bars_go_bad_halloween_health_concerns_addressed.html
…Oh!

And still tastes like gack.
Thanks edalicious, so not that much more then. ta
American chocolate is mostly gick, I can’t stand peanuts in chocolate and this guy seems to be eating and drinking himself into a diabetic coma.
Have found a shop near me that imports Aeros and Flakes though.
So now so.
Mint Aero is a crime against chocolate.
How do you enjoy it with a cup of tea? It pollutes the taste.
I don’t drink tea or coffee :)
You don’t drink tea?
You didn’t emigrate, you were BANISHED!
Mint Aero is pointless.
Fry’s… now that’s a mint chocolate.
