US President Donald Trump at a rally in Nashville, Tennessee yesterday

The fate of a nation’s healthcare
Is suddenly up in the air
They can’t reach accord
And the president’s bored
It’s all gone the shape of a pear.

In fairness to him, it seems he has managed to unite all Americans in their mutual hatred of his healthcare act.

…ah lads…how long is this going to go on…our health service and NHS are in turmoil but this pre-occupation with the US persists…blame crooked Hillary, she lost…Donald didn’t win but it’s President Trump for the next eight years…move on…

…poor Sheik…Trump won’t let you into the US…but then you are less likely to be bombed by one of Hillary’s drones…

She “lost” in the same way Catholics lost control of Derry City Council during the Stormont years; gerrymandering. Another word for gerrymandering is cheating.

A kleptocrat who is clearly winging it, believes in genetic superiority and has employed a white supremacist as his main advisor is now in charge of the world’s most influential country. People are going to be interested in that for a while yet. As for 8 years, based on the news coming out about Russia and how his press sec is throwing colleagues under the bus left and right, good chance it won’t even be four.

It’s entirely understandable that there’s been little news over here about the conniptions in the US but wow what a poostorm. It’s all either going to go completely off the rails or there’ll be a massive shrug of ‘it’s horrific but what’re you gonna do?’ At a guess I’d say their health act is toast but I wouldn’t put money on it.

Trump’s isn’t very nice, and it’s gone down like a nazi at a Bar Mitzvah.

And it might actually pass the House later today.

His strongarm tactics seem to be working a little bit. But you can only use that kind of tactic a few times.

It’s probably sunk in the Senate though.

Yeah, looks to be that way alright.

Paul Ryan had to go to the WH to tell Trump.

I wonder if they’ll pull the vote or Trump will force it and go to war with those who vote against?

I predict denial, in-fighting, finger-pointing, acceptance, revenge and the possible repeal and replacement of Paul Ryan.
