The workers wouldn’t cross a picket, what did IR expect, people to act like scabs??
Of course.. But the Bus Eireann guys knew that. Why get the trains involved? Screw ’em.
Driving a train through a station is not crossing a picket its doing your job, pathetic stuff from the irish rail driver’s
I believe the disruption arose from pickets on CIÉ depots which are the places of work of both Bus Éireann drivers and Irish Rail engine drivers. The engine drivers refused to cross pickets at their places of work.
Want to get to work today on the train? Surprise!
Citylink is a great service. I’m booked for the eves travel.
GoBus is recommended also.
Recently been doing a fair bit of DublinCoach… not impressed. You could set you clock by their late arrivals and no loo on the bus. Still though, not bad, v reasonably priced too.
No loo on a bus is particularly brutal. I much prefer train travel but I wish the network was more extensive. But then again the private coach industry thrives on this lack on infrastructure.
Did you moderate me Clampers? Bit touchy are we?
Why do you think Clampers moderates?
I dunno either but it gives me an inflated sense of self importance and feeds my ego.
Makes me feel like The Dude with a stride on him.

Bring on the weekend !
I would expect no less, Clampers.
Pffft, poor people & their public transport woes………
