You’d think by now we’d be inured to whitewashed reports.

The findings of the Fennelly Report are a bit special though.

700 pages of “probably didn’t, very little evidence of” and all that type of fluffy padding. We are expected to believe that Gardai did not know the legalities, yet every so often, after a few months training, a shower of supposedly qualified Gardai are let loose to increase their qualifications by learning more from existing Gardai, that know not what they do?

Over here, Trump seems likely to pop off an airstrike or some other military action because he’s suddenly discovered Syria exists and he’s trying to distract from the Russia controversy.

Who will he consult? His son-in-law? His daughter? The former CEO of Exxon? Steve Bannon? This after Trump swore blind he wouldn’t get involved in military action.

Good thing the “war monger” didn’t win…

    1. jusayinlike

Don’t be naive, the war monger always wins, Hillary would have done exactly the same..

Thank God they went for the peace-loving war-shy dovish alternative because there’s a guy who knows what he’s doing.

Corbyn making any noise is the first shock, that it might have some relevance is the sucker punch.

The air strike was probably the right thing, but done in haste and for the wrong reasons in my opinion.

Though Putin’s statements on the air strike being “ineffective” were probably made knowing they would wind Trump up.

          3. Nigel

(Not that it’ll amount to anything because it’s feckin’ Corbyn, but at least it sounds the right note.)

…I thought you had quit demonising people whose political outlook was slightly left of your own…even when they are supposed to be on the same side…

Honestly I think most of us were worried that the horrific bloodbath in the Middle East would dry up without her evil bloodlust driving it on. What a relief!

I’m just glad that cognitive dissonance exists so that we can blame the person who was called a warmonger, but lost the election for sending a tweet and not the actual person who ordered the air strike.

My neckbeard is safe in knowledge that even though the current administration has upped airstrikes in Yemen, despite my previous statements on Obama’s strike rate and has now launched an air attack without congressional approval (at least Obama went to congress), because Hillary sent a tweet.

The sweet rush of cognitive dissonance has replaced my codeine addiction.

Obama was a useless bluffer & a whimp. His legacy is the blood of innocent Syrians, that he abandoned, on his hands. Well done Man President Trump. He didn’t consult with that pig of a human Putin either.

          3. Nigel

People calling Trump Putin’s puppet totally have it wrong. He’s really the Manclintonion Candidate.

          4. Listrade

You jest Nigel, but you don’t know how close you are to the truth. The whole chemical attack was a false flag coordinated by Clinton to trick Trump into reacting.

          5. bisted

…crooked Hillary would have been confronting Russia from day one…you knew what to expect if she got her finger on the button. Seems the hawks still hold sway in the US military but Russia still control the land and air in Syria…

          6. bisted

…the Russians should launch a few missiles at US chemical weapon stocks in the region…

          7. Nigel

Yeah Obama was ineffective for sure but hey lets put a reality-show star con-man with only the shallowest understanding of the situation whose election efforts were boosted by Russian interference in charge and see what happens! Then when he commits a military action let’s applaud the strong decisive actions by the narcissist who craves applause and hope that works out for the best!

          8. jusayinlike

Nigel, they could put a blindfolded chimp in the hot seat and the outcome would be the same, the war monger always wins, Trump/Clinton, 2 cheeks of the same hate filled backside, Uncle Sam blew up Syria..

          9. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

Watching Fox news and thinking “Hang on: they hurt BABIES out there? WTF? Why did nobody tell me this?”.

          10. Nigel

‘His legacy is the blood of innocent Syrians, that he abandoned, on his hands.’

Haha feck the feck off. An entire international community stood by and watched while Assad and Putin went atrocity-happy and refugees swamped southern Europe and far-right groups hate-campaigned against them and immigrants. Obama and Clinton being merely ineffective in their efforts is the closest thing to a moral high ground in all this, aside from people actively working for peaceful solutions, even though that seems even more hopeless and futile because feckin’ Putin can do whatever the feck he likes, apparently.

          11. Nigel

Sorry, jusayinlike, not ready to embrace the stupidity of cynical nihilism just yet This sudden ‘they’re all the same’ pivot was nowhere in evidence during the election. Even if true in terms of foreign policy (where options are limited anyway) you didn’t have to join in the savaging of the candidate who wasn’t going to gut health care and strip-mine every environmental protection in the books in favour of the one who did. But you did. Funny how that aligns you with Putin, isn’t it?

          12. jusayinlike

Desperate semantics there Nigel, I have never said anything like what you are accusing me of, grow up..

          13. Nigel

Yeah you said you hated Trump too, once or twice, amidst the endless barrage of Hilary hating, so we know what that’s worth.

    2. Topsy

KNYC. Your a sad case. Nothing to do with your life “over there” than spend inordinate amounts of time posting on BS.

      1. Scoops yeah

Of all the mud we can sling at each other on here I don’t think calling into questions someone’s propensity to post really stands up to much scrutiny.

  3. Increasing Displacement

Brit police in the streets with what like G36s…the mobilisation continues

    1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

Well, around Aintree. Have you seen the state of the people who attend Aintree? No wonder they need armed guards.

  4. Owen
