Absolutely brilliant. And, journalistically, extraordinary – especially on the Trevor Deely story. But it’s only had 262 views…something not right; seems to be dying a death with viewing figures already in steep decline. I suspect it’s the presentation (yeah, we’re that fickle). Don’t let this die, BS.

        definitely going smoother
John definitely getting into the swing of it now and doing a great job
very enjoyable just a shame it’s past bedtime ;)

Last night was the first time I missed it live – caught it today on youtube. The additional input from hitherto unseen panellists on a story that I’d heard nothing about , Trevor Deely (I’m in Belfast) was presented casually, yet, professionally was surely a taste of what’s to come. I appreciated that Johnny interjected and asked John to fill in the back story.
It’s got a core to the format. John “Preposterous” Ryan is a very secure anchor to weather the sea, Mike appears capable (he looks better without his glasses), Johnny is already a kinda legend?
Brother, you talk of statistics, I hope this is not ill-perceived, but it’s like, “Wayne’s World” – before the networks took charge.

I’ve only dipped in to a couple of the programmes (to my shame). Nonetheless, I think you’re really onto something here, and I congratulate your efforts. The programme is only in its infancy – stick with it chaps.

Not sure what you mean by that, Shayna. I wasn’t being critical. My point was that BS, in my opinion, is doing stuff that no other media outlet in Ireland is going (Trevor Deely case now, but plenty of past examples). Despite this, the BS on the Telly initiative isn’t getting the views you’d expect or hope. That’s not due to the content or quality because both are at a far higher level than anything else around (again, on my opinion). I suspect it’s the relatively poor presentation – there has to be a better way: better mics, better cameras and better internet connections for all involved would be a good start. I know this is all superficial stuff but it does count.

Brother Barnabis your informed opinion is well noted. Thanks for your insightful musings and interest in the telly vibe. Some really informed articulate panellists and then there’s me. Your right though, there is nothing out there like this. I thinks that a positive.

Excellent Shanya. Next Thursday will be a mix of Wayne’s World Meets Cheech and Chong

It was so crap at the beginning that anyone who gave it a chance felt it was not worth the effort.

Watched it again.. it’s getting much more relaxed.. people are interrupting a bit more, and having the odd giggle too..which makes it definitely more entertaining.

      +1 Anne

I don’t think it matters that it’s on late, we can watch it the next day, that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. As Anne said, the chuckles really add to it. Johnny is a real find, he makes it.

This week’s was so interesting, with the new information about the second man outside
Trevor’s work place – unbelievable that it’s been overlooked all this time. Hope this new info keeps his story in the media.

Bodger, which one are you ;o)

        He’ll never tell.

I haven’t had the chance to watch this one yet but I’m looking forward to it. Sounds like its on the up and up.

          1. Anne

Bodger’s probably not the Preposterous one, the way Clark Kent isn”t Superman, or Bruce Wayne isn’t Batman.

  3. Anne

Some weird shenanigans discovered by the 2 lads who were on about Trevor Deeley too btw.

Bodger’s analysis of FF acquiescing on water due to an inappropriate deference given to Denis O’Brien’s papers was spot on too IMO.

This is great stuff.. try it up.
