A Limerick A Day

Bertie Ahern (left) with Darragh O’Brien TD at a Fianna Fáil Brexit event in Athlone last night

Let’s all celebrate as we learn
That our hero has made his return
So raise up a glass
Of fresh foamy Bass
To that honest man Bertie Ahern

“The fact that the British government didn’t take much concern of Northern Ireland shouldn’t surprise even Unionists or Loyalists, not to mind Nationalists or Republicans.”

It’s like poetry, isn’t it? So glad to welcome him back with open arms. It’s the best small country in the world in which to do business, sure.

Nicely done. If anything, I’d say you were too nice. The man deserves a good slap with a shovel.

He is just an awful awful person. Great at throwing money at everyone, not having bank accounts, leaving the price of a small house in his bedside locker and praising one of the biggest thieves this country ever had. Oh and bankrupting the country.

He’s being reintroduced to polite society to pave his way for an Aras bid, I’m convinced of it. If Michael D decides not to go for a second term, we’re looking at the nightmare scenario of Bertie Vs Jarry.

    The horror!
