This morning/afternoon.

From top: Maria Navaed with daughters Rannaya and Sarina originally from Pakistan Shela and Zimena Cafferos Rios originally from Mexico; Michael and Pauline Mokwe originally from Cameroon; Nichakun Plaengeli originally from Thailand; Prince Babu with Juan, Jemimia and Jenita); from left: Joan Sheehan, Irma Fleming, Marilyn Donoso and Michelle Canadilla all originally from the Philippines; Elena with her son Michael Ermyki originally from Russia; Carolina Coronado originally Venezuela; Clarisse Coelko originally from Brazil and Macedonia-born photographer Sasko Lazarov (no stranger to ‘sheet readers).

I don’t get how the more emotionally stunted among us don’t take pride from this.
Nothing but love below your comment.
Obviously that’s all down to my comment, definitely, although I was also thinking about folks who don’t comment on broadsheet. I’ve heard there’s a few of them weirdos knocking about.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? A world outside here? Does not compute.
I never heard of it, so it doesn’t exist.

:)
Met a man from Bristol yesterday, he was heading into this toady with his Irish wife. They were full of the joys of life and were planning a day of celebrations after the ceremony. He no longer values his brexited passport.
i was at Christy Moore gig once, and nothing cheered me up more than this geezer from Brizzle turning to me and saying in the broad west country accent ‘oi ope ‘e plays lisdewnvarrrrnaaaa’
So lovely to see.

Me too, I love them. Welcome :-)
Viva Mexico!
I agree: our gene pool has been substantially improved
“Gene Pool”? Oh, so now the Mass Immigrationists are spouting racist claptrap?
“Variety is the spice of life”.
Some people don’t like spice.
Means a lot to so many attending today.
You’ll probably find the most proud Irishmen and women here today.
Here’s hoping you spread the love for new homeland among those who’ve been here before.
well done all.
Do they have to read Peig Sayers now? Jebs remember that…. put me off an Teanga forever!
How old are you? Peig hasn’t been on the syllabus for nearly 20 years. Time to get over it.
Fair play
Great for the gene pool. Welcome!
Great to see so many fine looking people becoming citizens.
G’wan the Irish (and the Mexicans and the Thais etc)
Thairish….I’m so sorry.
Aww. I remember the day I got mine. My bestie came with me and then we went to Captain America’s for giant cocktails, because why not.
HA! Sounds like fun.
So your first act as an Irish citizen was to go drinking?
…Sounds about right. Failte!
You are truly one of us. There’s Guinness flowing through your veins.
I bet you even have a wee bit of red hair and freckles now too :)
love the title Bodger
You’ve excelled yourself
welcome everyone
And they’re charged €950 each for the privilege, meanwhile in America it’s $725 and $530 in Canada.
It’s a greedy little country when you think about it
Well, if you want to cite the US example, how come the Irish don’t ask for a proof that the applicant speaks English? (agus na bac leis an nGaeilge) Or that the applicant shows a knowledge of the history and constitution of Ireland? Applicants in the US have to show similar knowlege of the US..
So which do you want?
Fair play to them to agree to live in this backward, corrupt, mess of a nation. Hopefully they can help to improve matters here, because after near 100yrs the natives have shown themselves to be pretty poor at creating a just society..
hard to disagree with that
it’s not going well at the moment, that’s for sure
Fantastic to see this! Its great that Ireland is becoming more diverse. Hopefully them and their children will help clean up our rotten political system. Broadening the gene pool is always a step forward. I’ve yet to meet a Mexican I didn’t like. A sound bunch altogether

Fab news. The very best of luck to them all, and they will make this country a better place to live in.
Yay, welcome everybody! Love these posts
I’ve been away from my phone/desk all day and have only just seen this post.
Congratulations to all our new countrymen and women. These posts are one of the best things about broadsheet :D
Hope for the future.
Ahh…lovely to see…
Failte isteach! !
Good stuff !
