‘…so long as men can breathe, or eyes can see
so long lives this and this gives life to thee’
In loving memory indeed.
No, you’re crying.
He was a kid from Drimnagh who worked as a messenger for Independent newspapers. He died when his bicycle collided with an oil tanker on 14 April 1967. he was on his way to Heuston Station.
Ah how sad. Think of the exciting life he missed as a young lad growing up at that time. RIP Patrick Farrell.
As they say you’re not dead until the last person forgets your name.
RIP
Never heard that but it’s a nice sentiment
That is a really lovely gesture. The loss of a loved one never leaves us, does it?
RIP Patrick Farrell.
Good to remember people. Good to say their name.
RIP Patrick Farrell
Not forgotten. To live on in someone’s heart is to never die.
RIP.
Patrick died too young
but at least he had a wonderful, loving, considerate, and thoughtful friend
A real Forever Friend
Rest well Patrick Farrell and my condolences to his family and friends and deep respect to his friend who made this tribute and keeps Patrick’s memory alive. It reminds me of the song, Joe Hill, which finishes with the lines:
“I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night
Alive as you and me
Says I, But Joe, you’re ten years dead
I never died, says he
I never died, says he.”
