It was a close call but his home just took our breath away. Congratulations to the owners. Another year done on #homeoftheyear 😍😍😍😍😍😍 pic.twitter.com/zibyx5JlrC

The winner of Home Of The Year
Should be feted with a hearty cheer
But viewers were bitter
And angry on Twitter
And said it was far too austere.

I don’t watch reality TV but I wonder at the decision to air such a programme during a homeless crisis.
Noting that the homeless are not able to view the programme.
homeless shelters do have televisions..
Depends what you mean by “crisis”.
A soulless, sterile, white box with a window for a wall. Wow. Never seen THAT before. Better give it an award.
Doesn’t look Austere to me, they’ve got a field in their kitchen.
Great show – Oh God, I do so love a bit of house p*rn.
Ah, so now it all makes sense…
Go on…. :)
You have a thing for sheds, feature walls and massive windows.
I knew it. We share a mutual love of Kevin McCloud.
Guilty as charged ma’am, I love the bones of him.
What’s your favourite episode BTW Mildred?
I loved the shipping containers house up north –
not to live in but just for the ingenuity of it.
Oh that’s a tough one. I love that shipping container one, but I’d say my fave has to be the woodsman house. The one he built himself using timber from the very woods he caretakes.
This guy is living the dream.
Or maybe the curved house. The arch one, you know which one I mean?
From (horrified) memory, he was happy to poo in the woods, that’s no dream of mine :D
Yeah, that was incredible, too many to choose from really.
Okay, one last thing…
did you see Kevin”s trip to India?
Amazing.
No. But I know what my Friday night viewing will be now :D
Finally.
Finally :)
