Coveney vows ‘to fight for the soul of Fine Gael’

What the hell is this nonsense?

    A soul?

    Bum bum.

If ever there was a bunch without soul or conscience it’s the FG party. The man is raving.

yeah, it’s almost like there’s some sort of slick PR campaign going on or something ;)
“shock and awe” “drama” (just in case they didn’t get you on message yet that it’s a drama) “falling behind in race” etc.

all pure nonsense but by design

waiting on Sunday Indo 2 page spread on sailing hero Sigh at home donned in Ireland rugby jersey with the fam talking about how hard his job is and his vizion for Ireland..or some sort of gay love tragedy that Leo the lion had to endure but he’s come thru it and he knows how you feel…or Enda at home with the fam (hang on I’ve already done that one haven’t I)…and you’ll know in your hearts that FG are just like you/will fight them Brexit problems on the beaches/deeply ashamed about the homelessness or deaths on trollies or (pick from the very long list) but are working to fix past governments mismanagement and will do so if you can only see fit to give them your vote/…etc.

er, hang on is this not supposed to be a FG internal matter to elect a leader? you’d swear it was a GE publicity drive or something

all you can do with this over the next few weeks is have a bit of fun I suppose…make yourself a PR bs bingo card and tick off all the classic hits as you go….

        house!

        1. Frilly Keane

it actually is a GE drive

If Leo get the High Chair of Fine Gael, you can be damn sure he’s going to the people

          sum’ting else
what are the chances of seeing Simon in Thurles on Sunday?
          even money I’d say

Púpping eejit won’t know his way ’round the place

…why do you reckon the FFers have gone so quiet…they had been playing a blinder up to now but seem unable or unwilling to derail the blueshirt juggernaut?

          2. Frilly Keane

yeah but theres a bitta self-interest there
            Cork SC

and Coveney isn’t a poll topper there
Whereas the Shinner is closing in the the FF twin set

I’d Love IT if the Shinner knocks those two down a peg or two

i propose we adopt a leather jacket guy-style blackout on the ugly business of these two FG pondscum fighting it out for the big gig. it does nobody any good you know and frankly, i’m sick of it already.

The last three have had zero comments. Sooner or later, Bodger will accept it’s run its course.

Aib has paid back €3b of the €20b pumped into it. €3b paid back in 10 years, we are into a winner here.
Vulture funds lose that type of spondoolies down the back of the sofa.

    1. Sheik Yahbouti

Panty, think how good we’ll feel when Noonan sells it for ‘ten cents on the dollar’ to one of the usual suspects.

There is rarely a sense of soul among politicians. There is often an acute ability to sniff votes and a dexterity in pressing the appropriate buttons among the electorate.

        1. Increasing Displacement

          Ha! Wouldn’t surprise eh

Soon there’ll be upskirts and Snapchat leaks of someone’s dong doing stuff…
