seriously broadsheet, are we really going to do this? follow these two pooheads at every photo op in their greasy scrabble for the prime gig? i may just log out for the next weeks so, and let half the boo-boos on here enjoy their FG shill-gasm.

sean moncrieff had a moratorium on mentioning trump for lent – it was great. can we not be the only ones to show some integrity and not play this game? there are, as you point out, loads of places you can go to get this sort of tripe. there’s going to be 3 fukn weeks of this you know..

Not a bad idea – especially as it’s not a public vote. Daily ego-stroking gets quite nauseous.

It really does. Especially when you consider that these guys are headed for 10 years of irrelevant “opposition” when FF eventually pull the pin

No such luck for you Mildred

I’m just “not bothered” much any more – the whole reaction of the holier than thou catspaws to the dara story and the metastasis of John and co on the panel afterwards was a little too meta for my tastes- an echo chamber reverberating with the sound of its own virtual irrelevance. Sad, as Broadsheet does have potential, a lot of gifted commenters and even some decent content occasionally, it is being frowned down by the sheer volume of inanity

Moderate THIS!, it’s really not very meta. It’s a platform for new voices to be heard talking about all manner of stuff. You are welcome to come on the show.

Gosh darn it. Thought I was finally free of your pernicious presence.

(I’m robbing ‘catspaw’ for future use)

What need you being come to sense
But fumble in the greasy scrabble
And add the halfpence to the pence
      For a triple word score.

Although I disagree with you about the shill-gasm (The vast majority of comments on these topics are negative towards them), I couldn’t agree more about covering this so much.

Do we really need 4 articles a day pointing out what a tool Enda/Leo/Simon is? It’s already tiresome and only enlarges the echo chamber feel around here.

They should really be looking at their ministerial portfolios. Waste of time all this carry on. Why can’t they do the campaigning when the Dail takes its 2 months off

    Great headline bodger.

Jaysis all the socialist begrudgery on here. Can we rename this place sosolidaritycrew.ie, dailyechochamber.ie?? Broadbart.ie??

Better man than me once said this:

There are systems for a reason in this world: economic stability , interest rates, growth. It’s not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes. It’s only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you’re not lying in your own poo, dying at 43 with rotten teeth….now come on , f*#p off

Surely socialism would support more “systems” and controls than capitalism? If it wasn’t for socialism we’d all still be sent down mines at 8 years of age to die from black lung so I’m not sure what your point is.

    Cupcakes?
I’m not saying Leo needs to downplay the gay thing, but surely there’s a happy medium.

Oul fella’s eating 99’s is a thing. Scorching day, shirt sleeves rolled up, no poncy SPF and the hay saved. Always makes me happy to see it.

It’s the kind of thing that makes this nation great.

You’re describing at least two generations if my family.

My da is mad for getting blistered while eating a cornetto.

Grandad loves sunning himself in the garden to a brunch and coming in a ‘healthy’ maroon colour

wireless Otis, gentlemen of a certain age refer to it as the wireless
and they miss Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh a lot

          3. mildred st. meadowlark

Mícheál is a true gent. I worked with him when he was launching his book, a few years ago now, and he was the nicest man, a real decent skin. He had time for everyone, a kind word or a little anecdote, and people queued for HOURS to see him and he really really made it worth their while, right down to the youngest fan. A proper gentleman.

Brother, Leo Varadwankar would fake his own death if it meant a few extra likes on Friendface

Bodger please please stop with the FG publicity posts will ya, you’re either directly or indirectly participating in a ridiculous ott FG pre-election PR stunt worthy of reality TV (and its Housewives of Orange County level were talking here)

Surely the money spent on the cupcakes could have been used to partly reimburse the taxpayer for the fraud caused by welfare cheats.
