    CIA notifies British Intelligence services that Manchester bomber planning an attack months prior yet no action taken. Now it emerges that it’s the same story with one the London Bridge bombers:
    “Italian authorities said they had done everything they could to raise their concerns about the 22-year-old to Britain’s intelligence agencies..
    ..Italian authorities have said they informed MI6 in Rome and also marked him as a suspected foreign fighter on an international border control alert system called the Schengen Information System.
    The Home Office last night refused to comment on why Zaghba had been allowed into the UK.”

    Seems clear at this point that it’s the policies of the British intelligence/security services which are an integral part of the safety threat to the general public and an independent review of them needs to happen. Instead you get Theresa May only saying that human rights laws could have to be changed in order to further detain people and that Internet freedoms should be curtailed.

      Notice how nobody in MI5 is being held accountable for being asleep at the wheel.. instead it’s the internet, ban the internet..

      Pretty much this, don’t forget they went before the PAC kicking and screaming about “financial autonomy” i.e. you lot aren’t getting access to our accounts despite rampant corruption with public monies.

    The Sun’s front page is alternate track listing for the Manic Street Preacher’s ‘The Holy Bible’

    I’m amazed by the front page of the newspapers being so partisan.

    Has it happened here where a paper has been so blatant? Specifically on voting day. Have we had anything like front pages saying:
    * Vote for Fianna Fail Today
    * It’s got to be Fine Gael
    * Don’t chuck Ireland in the Green-bin
    * Lies, damned lies, and Sinn Fein

      I think this has gone on in the uk for decades. The sun is often credited with swinging it for Blair.

      There should be some sort of regulation against this sort of thing. It really is abuse of a platform.
