Downing But Not Out

at

“I’ve just been to see Her Majesty, the Queen, and I will now form a government, a government that can provide certainty and lead Britain forward at this critical time for our country. This government will guide the country through the crucial Brexit talks that begin in just 10 days and deliver on the will of the British people by taking the United Kingdom out of the European Union.”

“It will work to keep our nation safe and secure by delivering the change that I set out, following the appalling attacks in Manchester and London, cracking down on the ideology of Islamist extremism and all those who support it, and giving the police and the authorities the powers they need to keep our country safe.

The government I lead will put fairness and opportunity at the heart of everything we do so that we will fulfil the promise of Brexit together. And, over the next five years, build a country in which no one and no community is left behind.”

All these poor Brits having to google the DUP to see who they are and what they stand for and recoiling in horror.
    Haha.

Even better, Henry, have just heard Mr Varadkar’s take on the situation. Could a merger between DUP and FG be on the cards? After all, they are natural partners.

She is a poor performer (you know that). She didn’t take questions, she came out with the predictable rubbish about no one will be left behind.

At least she dropped the line about how united the country is.

    Train wreck.

She is so strong, going into those Brexit negotiatons.

The DUP think they have hit the jackpot. Let’s see.

Anyway, a half decent press would have a field day with this new coalition. It’s all there on a plate for them. Corruption, terrorist links and extreme religious dogma. News that doesn’t travel outside of Northern Ireland and only makes it down here on the odd occasion when we need reminding others have it worse than us.

It just takes a press willing to use google for half an hour.

They will turn, that’s inevitable. They’ve been embarrassed by the result and for backing her so strongly. Unlike past Tory leaders, she doesn’t really have a team loyal to her. Someone will already be seeing their opportunity to be leader and will use the press to bring about her downfall.

How come she never mentioned the D.U.P.?

Is she afraid to mention the elephant in the room, as they are so toxic?

What is the price of this coalition?

SNP: “We got the most seats in Scotland, so we won. The Tories got the most seats overall, so they should, er, stand aside!”

    Corbyn is like Irish football.
” Plucky losers but we have the best supporters. “

Labour has lost this election as badly as Gordon Brown did in 2010 yet Corbyn celebrates like he’s won.
Palmerston the cat has more chance of getting into Number 10 than he does.

Honestly, I would , if it weren’t so serious. He hadn’t the balls before though, so I doubt he will again. He would at least be entertaining
