Sindo’s ‘new middle class’ are probably the type who think they’re intelligent if they carry a copy of the rag.

That reminded me of Sting, who whilst living in New York, insisted that if he was photographed, he had a copy of The New York Times under his arm.
Also, today Tyrone play Donegal in The Ulster Football Semi-Final. I’m going to go ahead and say, “Come on Tyrone”.

        can’t stand Sting
the weird thing is I can’t put my finger on why exactly…and he’s apparently a decent bassist…if The Police come on the radio I might leave it on but Sting? off it goes

          I had a similar experience-
I like the police but hate him (Stewart Copeland is one of my favourite drummers )
I could never quite figure out why I hated Sting so much, then I saw him on The Brit awards.
Started off playing Roxanne, so far so good, it’s a great tune, next thing he’s stripped to the waist throwing shapes like the horribly smug narcissist he is and it all made sense.

Anyone ever witness Sting & Jimmy Nails musical about the Newcastle dockyards?
I watched through my fingers when it was on BBC4 one night.
            Remarkable.

Saw it, worse thing I ever saw until I saw the Lidl trolley cam ads

            ohhh
            they. are. brutal.
the sort of ad that makes me curl up

I can think of a worse one from a couple of years back….remember the one for UPC, it had this hippy wan on a street corner destroying that song “plage” by crystal fighters on a ukulele and they ran it on loop for months (even though I knew she couldn’t hear me) I shouted “SHUT TF UP” at the telly

How lovely of you to mention Fathers Day. Me da died 10 years ago, mom also passed, technically I’m an orphan – I guess when one arrives at a certain age, it’s clear the inevitability of life looms. Happy Fathers Day!

happy FD to the lot o’ye!

Davy, following in the footsteps of Seanie Fitz: publicly and mendaciously slagging the public sector to cover up their own crimes.
