I saw this about 11am… The clampers said they should get a permit for every time they have a call out… Just when you thought your electricity repair man would be on time!

Shocking
That’s Drumcondra off Clonliffe Rd
Or they could just park legally.
or just be a doley so you don’t have work in the first place.
The vehicle is occupying a paid parking space during the operational hours for paid parking.
Pay for the space for the amount of time that you need to occupy it.
Give the receipt to your employer and claim back the expense.
Or get clamped and pay an €80 release fee and try to explain that one to your employer.
Your call.
I don’t understand what is happening. Is this just somebody who got clamped?
I imagine the guy on the right works for the ESB and his fuming that he has to pay for parking while on the job like all us other plebs.
Are those clampers the DCC lads or private profiteers?
” The clampers said they should get a permit for every time they have a call out”
– you mean, pay for parking like everyone else??? The very idea…
you’d think anyone skilled in the dark arts of electricity would be able to zap off the clamp with their ‘variable resistors’ or their ‘anode capacitors’ and drive off, laughing at us troglodytes.
They’re providing a basic necessity to people… Electricity, water and gas. They should get a pass on clamping. …unless of course they’re parking to pop into a shop for a pack of cigs.
Or there should be a permit system attached to the vehicle which exempts it from such charges, maybe one that uses a barcode tracking system that the clamper/rent a cop can check.
Heaven forbid, that’s fierce futuristic stuff altogether.
