Interesting to see that the Oirish edition of the Lahdan Tames is still…uh…in existence after the KEVIN MYERS HATES THE JOOS fake controversy.

London Tines stopped publishing five years ago. Broadsheet have been doing mock-uo covers ever since waiting for you to catch on.

British holiday makers affected by tighter border controls? Isn’t that what they voted for?

No. They are facing an incoming return of Greek Brits and their famous Greek Brit is retiring. It’s a travesty.

Also – top of the page on the red tops, Prince Philip. I autocued the guy at Buck Palace, he was charmingly delightful and at the same time picked up on my Irish accent.

I still wonder about the Mountbatten assassination, and what was really going on there.

According to ex-journalist Kevin Myers he was a “vain, egotistical, inept, brutal and deceitful psychopath”. Everyone to their own opinion I guess.

Jesus, psychopath? I do wonder about comments sometimes – I think I may be bordering sociopathic. But I think that’s okay?

@Bisted I would Republican type – but I didn’t like Lord Mountbatten’s assasination, and earlier there was Airey Neave. Two guys who fought fascism, it does make one wonder.

…my father fought against fascism but he wasn’t head of British armed forces and it wasn’t in India…nor was he an Eton educated Tory and Thatcher supporter…

My great uncle was a train guy in Belfast, but he ended up being a Major General under De Valera. People, despite their backgrounds, I believe are basically good.

I’ve read Kevin Myers over the years, he was a tad controversial on it, but – isn’t that what a columnist does? As a woman, not specifically Jewish, the article was leaning towards misogynistic. I’ve said worse, but then, I guess, I’m not paid to offer my opinion.

Could I propose “an eye for an eye” sentence for the excuse of a human on the front of the S*n.

Yes, worth noting that if you’re enough of a buffoon, you can get away with being a racist, sexist anti-semite.

  4. jusayinlike

The hypocrisy of the British paper’s for pillorising Myers whilst touting openly racist and high ranking Nazi prince Phillip..

This thing with RTÉ not making money.

It’s time to sell it off and scrap the licence fee.
