I’ve a “thing” about Irish Dancing, kinda love it! I never went to classes, but my brother and sisters went. I was busy with GAA business.

As per Independent, Kenya goes to the polls today and Nairobi is particularly tense with an increase of armed police and mass movement of people. Businesses and offices have all closed and non-Kenyans advised to stay at home, secure their homes and pack an emergency bag should there be a need to evacuate. We have been stocking up on provisions to last a month should it all kick off like in 2007 and 2013. Let’s hope it won’t, but voting lines are traditionally tribal and the two biggest, Kikuyu (present Administration) and Luo (Opposition) are far more divisive than FF/FG will ever be. There have been a string of incidents in recent weeks, notably the assassination of the IT chief in charge of the electronic voting. Most Kenyans want a fair and peaceful election though. Should be interesting.
