A Limerick A Day

at

A London Routemaster bus operated by transport firm Go-Ahead

As you stand at a bus stop and wait
The delay can make you quite irate
So the NTA said
They’ll give the go ahead
To let Brits get the blame when they’re late.

Sadly, not a Routemaster but a Wright Eclipse Gemini, very like our own ones.
Wright are based in Ballymena – big business.
The old open back Routemasters still run on ‘heritage’ routes in London via some dispensation or other.

    – Hang on… they have trainspotters for buses now?
    – When did that start?

I came here with a limerick in me head, and then I read the above comment. It’s gone now…
I hardly know what to think anymore

There are three Routemasters commonly seen around Dublin – The yellow Dublin Tours one, the Vintage Afternoon Tea one (two tone cream on green) and one in London Transport red. Glorious!
