I know you don’t normally do this but we’re trying to reunite a drone with its owner. A guy called to the house last week saying he had lost a drone and he thinks it crashed in or around our garden

We looked for it but no sign of said drone. But lo and behold, what turns up in the middle of the garden yesterday, but pictured drone

I think it must have been on the roof and fallen off yesterday. Anyway, we had taken the guy’s number in case the drone showed up, but now said drone is found and said number is lost.

So if anyone recognises this drone and can locate the owner we will be happy to return it to him. Dublin 3 area.

Anyone?

Is the Drone over 1kg? If so It should be registered with the IAA.

Since he was flying his drone over an urban area he should have gotten IAA permission to do so.
If you do find him, report him.
The Small Unmanned Aircraft (Drones) and Rockets Order, 2015 (SI 563 of 2015) contains a number of limitations for the operation of drones.

      Fair play

and then smash his dumb drone on his thick head or better still insert into his rectum pointy bits first.

That piece of foam with propellers isn’t a danger to anyone. Jesus! Its just a hobby for 99 percent of drone owners. Not everyone is into GAA , rugby or football. Or travelers scoping out the layout of peoples gaffs so they can rob them later. Travelers are exempt from those IAA drone regulations anyway. “999 what’s your emergency” “hello police, I saw a traveler flying a heavy drone around my housing estate, and a few of my neighbors houses were burgled last week, can you question them and see if they have their drone registered? ” …(laughter heard from other end of the phone)

Yeah that polystyrene drone defo looks like it weighs over 1kg. Does the rod up your butt weight that much and did you get permission to ram it up there as hard as you have done?

Take a hammer to it. Or give it back to him singe can continue to see which houses are worth breaking into.

Law of salvage applies. But that looks like the losing entry in a design-a-bike-saddle competition. 0/10, would not ride.
