All-Male Lock In

at

Stayed up last night?

A warm, embracing thank you to clockwise from top left: ‘Preposterous‘, Olga Cronin, Johnny Keenan and Neil Curran.

The show can be viewed in its entirety above.

Distressingly, Olga found herself locked out of her own flat WITHOUT her house keys following a shift (newspaper subbing nothing naughty).

This left an all-male panel to expound on a variety of matters that included women’s forgetfulness the New World Order, the Leaving Cert and Neo-Nazis. Not in that order.

Some sweary bits.

    enjoyed the discussion last night
Olga is great but not sure reading the papers is good for the flow of the evening
    felt less stilted last night
nice to hear proposerous give views as opposed to mediating

Agreed. We all know what the papers look like. I’d say either move it to the end or drop it altogether.

The newspaper thing is a good way of opening the discussion. And I like Olga’s take on the stories – always a sense that she knows the background, little bit more than is actually in the paper

          Nice one Brother.
I was going to say that.

Olga brings a perspective to news stories that gets lost in the editors’ offices.

        2. Johnny Keenan

Spot on analysis there Brother. Olga sees the story thats behind the headlines and teases it out brilliantly

Didn’t you leave Ireland to escape this kind of meaningless self indulgent myopic tripe Janet?

          email ?

          1. badatmemes

You were missed in the pit Frilly.
Somebody turned up in the latter stages with a name I can’t remember and an agenda he wouldn’t forget. Apart from that it was a laugh.*
You could’ve put yerman in his place. He seemed to think the pit was a soapbox.
            We know better.

            *even though I was sober.

    @ Frillex:
I’m no good at remembering names, but I remember either Janice or MildredStReadybrek was humming a song last night.
I can’t get it out of me head.

It goes, ‘hmm, mmmm. Hmmm-mi-mi-mi hmmm hmmm…
    You know the one..?

  4. badatmemes

    @ Janet:

Step One: Buy some socks and put them on.
Step Two: Tell me the name of a song I posted that you like. (Or two songs if you want to make it easier for me.)
Step Three: Wait, while I compile the best mix you ever heard.
Step Four: Lie on your bed with your headphones on.
Step Five: Watch your socks hitting the opposite wall.

    And that’s a promise.

  5. badatmemes

    I get your vibe.
    Knit more socks.

Cant do anything until I get home, but when I do…
…you’ll be wanting to be making me breakfast. Guaranteed.
I’m unbelievably good at two things. One of them is making Reggae Mixes. The other one is a secret.

      1. badatmemes

Dub is my forté and I’m glad you asked.
I have a couple of terabytes of the stuff at home and it would be an absolute pleasu…

        Hang on a moment. .. You’re not a girl ..

        I’m only messing.
I’ll do it as fast as I can, but Ladies before Gents, etc.

        1. badatmemes

          Oops!
Sorry for the last line in me last comment S’hoop.
I had you mixed up with Clumphead Offside
          -You’re sound. I think.
          – On a brighter note, it’ll probably upset him anyway.

I’ll make your mix much longer, to make up for me mistake.

This one is called ‘4 Jah Net’.
It’s nearly 16 minutes long but has no swear words in it or anything like that which is surprising because I’m pretty drunk and that’s what I normally do.
    Anyway…
