eh, it’s a term of phrase.

why are atheists more fervent than non atheists? ye’d give anyone a pain in the hoop.

atheists are more fervent than non atheists…

give me a minute or two. just want to check if anyone anywhere has ever said anything more stupid than that.

          1. anne

This is how an atheist reacts to something they don’t like… you couldn’t say you disagree I suppose.. it’s your way or the highway..like the godbotherers.

yer as annoying as that lot.

        2. Tony

Anne is right in fairness. Some atheists or those claiming to be atheist can be proper zealots. As blinkered and closed minded as any god botherer

          1. Brother Barnabas

Actually you’re right – look back on history: pretty much every war, every act of persecution, every source of bigotry…all down to atheists.

ah but Buddha is no God
            he’s a philosophy
reckon everyone could do with a bit more Buddha and a lot less sky fairy
            # not angry atheist

          3. mildred st. meadowlark

            Excellent point.

Actually, if you like the whole idea of Buddhism, I strongly recommend A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. It’s stunning.

It was one of those books that left me feeling changed. Read it.

I lost friends at Bataclan, I live up the road
I lost a good man in London
you have to keep believing in humans or you’ll go mad.
            F##k the excuses of religion
every human should know instinctively right from wrong
just angry angry people happy to find an excuse to stroke thier egos and be important in thier tiny minds

          5. Brother Barnabas

            Sorry to hear that,Janet

And yep – all the glorious insight in religious teaching is just common decency that’s within everyone anyway

Fupp your gods – believe in yourself and those around you

          6. Brother Barnabas

“atheists are more fervent than religious nuts”

            “eh, no they’re not – that’s a stupid statement”

            “YOU CAN’T HANDLE CONTRADICTION”

Jesus (your Jesus, not mine) fupping wept

(leaving aside the irony that this is all coming from someone who goes apoplectic with orgasmic hyperbole whenever she’s contradicted)

          7. anne

eh no i don’t actually.. i usually don’t care enough to respond. relax or I’ll start using OMG for all your posts as a wind up lol

The Indo there quoting that durty tramp Tomás Ó”Sé …

    Typical Kerry Ape Talk

    On the other hand,
    Bumkins.

Now Bumkins is a proper word

None of yer bitty botty bum bum carry on with that shower

    Or the Indo
    It seems

    Interesting times

      1. Frilly Keane

        New Hat
        Same gob underneath

        Just go to the Indo
        Top right
        And see the quote
        Swap “Bumkins”
        For the A word

        FFS
I can’t believe I’ve had to use Bumkins

  2. Clampers Outside!

All them bombing headlines have nothing to do with the extreme teachings of any particular religion. We’re all equal, when we’re all deluded. Diversity is strength… or some other slogan that fits the day…

Can we talk about the problems in Islam yet …or is that still idiotically considered racist, just for askin’

    1. LW

Clampers! You were notably quiet last week, and you’re normally so vocal about events in America. Welcome back

        1. LW

Tell us anyway, what are the problems? What are the solutions? Try to confine yourself to text, rather than hour long YouTube lectures

          1. Clampers Outside!

The problem is you think the problem can be answered with those two simple questions.

God, Allah, Yaweh or whatever you may call that one and the one with loads of arms help us!

          2. LW

So you want to talk about the problem, but you can’t articulate what the problem is. That tells me it’s not that anybody is stopping you discussing it, it’s that you’re incapable of doing so

The Sindo is half right on cold cases in an article today. They suggest links to Trevor Deely and Aangus Shananan who vanished also in 2000, 10 months before Trevor. I am making no further comment as I can only imagine the agony the Deely family are in at this present time.
Desmond Walsh , who vanished 4 months before Aangus is DIRECTLY linked to Aangus’s case. In fact Desmond’s flat was at end of alleyway that Aangus allegedly went into. It is NOT TRUE Aangus had one drink after ‘friends’ left expecting him to follow. FALSE NEWS. Dont aid and abet liars , get are off chair , investigate and desist rehashing bull#h#t.

the biggest victims of these unfortunate incidents is always the innocent Muslims who will now suffer suspicion and scrutiny we need to make sure Islam is respected and our ever growing population of new friends are looked after otherwise more and more of these incidents could happen.

  5. jusayinlike

Anyone hazard a guess at how many years Stephen Hawking has m/n disease?

    He was diagnosed decade’s ago..

      1. jusayinlike

The longest m/n patient suffered was 8 years, Hawking was diagnosed in the late fifties, how is he still alive…???

        1. LW

I got news for you, if he has lived longer than the previous person who survived the longest, he is now the longest surviving. That’s how it works

  6. Janet, I ate my avatar

    how about
    everyone just wrote
    first thought in thier heads
    why are you angry ?
first thought honest answer.. a real conversation
