Miriam O’Callaghan and Louis Walsh on Saturday Night with Miriam last Summer

On Saturday Night with Miriam…

It’s deja view again.

Sinead Harrington writes:

Louis Walsh will join Miriam on the couch this Saturday night to look back on Ireland’s Eurovision bid and to reveal how he made it in the music industry. He will also discuss how difficult it is for up and coming performers to make it in a changed industry.

Ahead of his Irish tour, Russell Watson will perform the Mario Lanza classic ‘With a Song in My Heart’.

And the leaders from this year’s Celebrity Operation Transformation – Mary Byrne, Gary O’Hanlon, Triona McCarthy, Kayleigh Cullinan and James Patrice – will talk about why they want to take on the weight loss challenge in front of the nation.

There will also be music from Celtic Woman  will close the show with a beautiful rendition of ‘Time to Say Goodbye’.

I doubt he knows anything relevant about the music industry today, if I’m being honest.

        Louis knows the Music Industry.
He runs the factory with his mates.

Musical Integrity is the term you were looking for, the one he has no interest in or understanding of.

        Apart from that, yeah!

I know I shouldn’t but I can’t help loving Miriam, in a jolly nice way, admittedly.

As a pseudonym of PAradise PAddy I challenged Louis the svengali in a controlled environment back in 2012. Not one media organisation on the island retweeted my article. In fairness I wasn’t aware of Broadsheet.ie then. John Robb of Blackpool/Madchester Louder than war online music politic mag did publish it.
On RTE tommorow night Miriam will not ask him any of the questions I asked him on that faithful day. Which begs the question why is Louis always afforded a platform for this banality of evil?
Shur i’ll leave ya with that. Of course I don’t pay my TV licence. Here’s why!

      Johnny…
Don’t engage with anyone who never did anything.
      You should have no qualms.

      You’re on the internet now.
      Everyone is a clever F’er.
      EVERYONE IS WRONG.

I quite enjoyed your article about nostalgic school days, however it’s pretty easy to see why noone would touch this one. It’s awful and shows a complete lack of understanding of not only the music business but life.

This is ridiculous. Trying to engage in conversation and the best you can do is name call.

  4. Pat "Connie" Plank

    Miriam O’Callaghan Salary: 300K
President Michael D Higgins Salary: 250K

Sure. She’ll run for President. 50k less to spend on cake.

Am I staying in to watch this “I Have Eight Kids So I Am Worth It” utter horsepoo? Am I fupp.

  5. Johnny Keenan

I watched it. Can you believe Louis still wants more music on Irish radio. When is he and his cronies going to do something about it is the real question.
