Why do other counties’ fans cry like little babies?

Oh, probably because Dublin hammer them easily all the time – I see…

      1. Frilly Keane

        Well
There’s a few gaps there in yer “all the time” there Rob

An no matter how classy this panel is, none ov’em are capable of going back in time

        1. Rob_G

I suppose that ‘back in time’ is the only place that your football aspirations can dwell these days =D

      2. mildred st. meadowlark

Frilly did NOT like that, no she did not.

(Says she who was raised in the deepest depths of a rugby family)

Friscondo is clearly just jealous that Aughrim Kickhams can’t charge mroe than a ternner for the monthly fundraising lotto *

*first prize: a months worth of turf

      1. Brother Barnabas

But you still have a massive chip on your shoulder about “the Dubs”. So no matter where you’re from, you’re a provincial halfwit.

        1. Friscondo

Believe me having being abroad once or twice, Dublin is about as provincial as you can get! That’s so funny.

        2. Friscondo

The lack of self awareness is hilarious. Dublin is about as provincial city as you could find. Maybe you should get out of you’re mam’s more.

          1. realPolithicks

Don’t get all bent out of shape Frisco, one of these days someone will beat Dublin…but not this year.

          2. mildred st. meadowlark

I like how you’re trying desperately to be cool as a cucumber, when secretly you’re seething.

            Seething.

It’s ok, Friscondo. We’re only messin’.

          3. Friscondo

Well I started the messin and others got very hot under the collar about it. Listen, I’m well able to take from ye sophisticated city slickers. But do get out about more from Dublin, he’ll be amazed. Some cities even have subways. Amazing!

          4. Brother Barnabas

            it’s all relative

about as provincial as you can find? no, you can find more provincial. what’s your nearest town, fris?

    1. bisted

…Pat Hickey wouldn’t have the neck to organise a stroke like this…at least 250 tickets from the County Board allocation…wonder what the players allocation is…can their friends and relations get tickets?

      1. Frilly Keane

last I heard the players get 4
former players, who win ais, get 2
the rest are at the mercy of their clubs pals etc
But they are all paid for at Face Value

  2. Spaghetti Hoop

This is clearly bothering you Friscondo!
    Rich people do spend money.
Keeps a couple of chefs and waiters in jobs.
    Enjoy the match.

    1. Friscondo

Just commenting on the contrast between grassroots club GAA and the corporate Dubs. That’s all. As is my right, I’ll think you’ll find.

      1. Spaghetti Hoop

Sport is also a business don’t forget. The hospitality tradition is a valuable one to the GAA, FAI and IRFU. I worked for a well-known Irish company who regularly invested in corporate boxes etc. for CEOs and Directors they wanted to get into bed with. It’s business.

      2. Frilly Keane

The Dubs don’t own Croke Park
        The GAA do
the grassroots will get their divvy from Croke Park when the disbursements are made
Its all there in their accounts
        here’s 2016

This is the Dubs, via DublinGaa.ie organising a gig themselves in a Hotel
you can hardly expect people to stump up that kinda money to go to Parnell Park ffs

If you have a moan going spare Frisco
have a go at the Dublin County Board, and try n’ get Parnell Park sorted

  3. Frilly Keane

    hang on
they get 10 stand tickets for the Mens and the Ladies Football Finals; lets just say ……*100 a pair
10 brekkies with a bitta Football Allstar glamour, 250 a head

so for a client do with another 50 yoyos each in drink, that comes to 400 a skull
that’s way better value than any of the golf, soccer and rugby dos I’ve seen

    * Stand tickets will sell for upwards for €350 next Sunday week; just saying

      1. Frilly Keane

        no
but I know from experience, and I have some,

that by 2pm Sunday Week, if you’re not sorted, you’ll do what you can
and if it means stumping up that kinda money, lads’ll do it

          1. Frilly Keane

            not so much that
but lads coming back from Dubai and Boston with a few bob
            sur ya know yerself
some of the Tip lads there last year that they were JayZ with the amount of bucks they had on ’em

          2. realPolithicks

“Ye’re very defensive and easily provoked. My work here is done.”

Lol, I’ve read the comments Frisco. If you want to pretend this is a “win” for you good luck with that.

          3. mildred st. meadowlark

            :D

There’s a pair of them in it.

And I haven’t enjoyed a thread this much in aaaages.

  4. Mourinho

This is just a dressed up sneaky way of selling tickets for €350 a pop.

    To hell with the grassroots.

Every small club coughs up about €10k a year to county boards and HQ.

    1. Frilly Keane

      hang on a sec
they still have to pay HQ the face value so that gives them 260 margin on tickets for both Finals

      say they sell 20 tables of 10; 200 * 260; 52K
Costs say 35 a head; so less 7k
      gives 45K;
that wouldn’t even send the Lads Team and their + 1s on Holidays ffs
imagine telling the Dublin Panel they’re going to Courtown for the October Bank Holiday insteada Capetown for a fortnight in the New Year

    2. Frilly Keane

      btw Jose
I don’t know any club that hands up to HQ

The County Boards maybe, for tickets etc
and you’ll not find any small, in which I read as Junior, club stumping up 10 k to their County Board; unless its for tickets

Mind you if Vincent’s and Endas are complaining about 10k to their own County Board
tis any wonder Parnell Park is the disgrace it is

  5. Friscondo

Ultimately, ye Dubs really do have notions, and thus are really easy to wind up. Best of luck on 17th, ye’ll need it.

  6. Iwerzon

Not many Dub players going to work in the back of a van at 6:30am of a Monday morning these days. Mon Leitrim!
