    aw here Roj wtf like?
have you started selling tickets already?
I’d even done some legwork on TV rights :(
mmm you’ve gone and done a deal with Andrew on his hanging format ideas and Pat I bet..disappointed here
    we coulda been millionaires :(

      1. martco

see lads again I even had that aspect all worked out…had great disguise merch lined up off the alibaba @€15 + VAT per kit fast delivery great value but youse jumped the gun clearly
        harrumph

          1. martco

gah! Mildred what can I say…I think looking at this the horse has already bolted (thanks whichever of ye stole my ideas. probably)
you see I thought we were teaming up & going for a whole dystopian xfactor show approach, stoning first then whittle down the numbers to 10 into the next round for forking with a head to head in the final burning (technique & style) then the idea came up to add Pat in there which brought about another whole world of possibilities…go to a team approach like family fortunes
so we were on for ticketing, merch, premium text line (of course) and I was working on TV rights when clearly someone else possibly from here jumped it and well I think the element of surprise is gone now, blown :(

that thing today just looks half assed to me

coulda been so much more :(

I personally cant stand Hook, disagree with just about all of his views and idiotic opinions. But he still should have the right to free speech.. If you dont like what he has to say dont listen. All this rubbish is more publicity for a man who craves it..

    1. TheRealJane

In what sense is Hook’s right to free speech (not actually a right here, you’re confusing our constitution with the US) being compromised by people using their right to free assembly?

  3. Eamonn Clancy

Thank God we live in a country where women don’t use violence against their children or partners. What saints.

    1. Cian

LOL. If you watch the opening credits to Desperate Housewives you can see a (cartoon) woman punch a man – who get a black eye – and then falls over. Would this be acceptable if the roles were reversed?

      END CULTURE OF
      VIOLENCE
      AGAINST MEN

          1. postmanpat

When it’s us vs them. certain groups make money and it is in their interest to keep the status quo. They are not all bad. I hope ROSA is legit, the abortion pill bus is a good idea but is it going to happen? It’s totally illegal so I cant see how. Are donations going to disappear into an unscrupulous persons expense account?

          2. MoyestWithExcitement

“When it’s us vs them. certain groups make money and it is in their interest to keep the status quo.”

Which groups are making money and how much?

          3. postmanpat

The ones that ask for donations on their websites and don’t explain how the money is sent yet alone publish accounts.

          4. MoyestWithExcitement

I see. So you have no evidence that anything dishonest is happening then, just a conspiracy theory that lets you feel good about not liking people trying to improve society. Grand.

      1. MoyestWithExcitement

Women calling men to stop violently assaulting them is unfair because of a cartoon on Desperate Housewives?

        1. TheRealJane

Yes. See also diet Coke man for men are equally objectified so what are you feminazis complaining about, you stupid so-called “women”.

          1. MoyestWithExcitement

Pretty much all right wing/conservative opinion comes down to a a fragile ego and *literally* the world view of a toddler. Seriously. Toddlers also know how to convince themselves they’re victims and have the same self centred arguments for everything.

        2. Cian

yes Moyest – if that is how you read it.
Now get back to your cartoon, pet, because it’s not what I wrote.

          1. MoyestWithExcitement

You, a right winger, responded to someone who, through sarcasm, implied that women are also violent and pretending they aren’t (nobody said that by the way) is unfair. You respond to that with a LOL and point to a cartoon of a woman beating up a man and said reaction would be different if roles were reversed. You then sarcastically call for an end to the violence of culture against men, implying that you think calls for the end of violence against women are overboard and unfair on men. All because of a cartoon on Desperate Housewives. Bud, reading comprenhension isn’t just about being able to say the words out loud. Saying ‘I didn’t say those literal words’ is not a good defence against anyone with an IQ in triple digits.

          2. Cian

Ouch. You have an IQ that is above 100? Colour me impressed.

Yes, I believe women are violent to their children and partners – and that singling out women as being the (primary) victims of violent crime is wrong.
No, I wasn’t being sarcastic with the cartoon. It was a demonstration of the ‘Culture of Violence against men’. I would like to see an end to violence against men (as much as I’d like to se an end to violence against women).

          3. MoyestWithExcitement

Right, so you did what I said you did then. It’s unfair to ask men to violently assault women and this cartoon from Desperate Housewives shows how unfair it is. A woman who’s been raped hears a high profile figure on a national platform blame a victim, just like her, for her predicament. She is tired of the culture of apportioning blame to female victims of violence. She is tired of seeing middle class men wipe out their family and painted as a Good Man Who Must Have Been Troubled. She is sick of seeing sexual assault being written off as an unavoidable consequence of boys being boys. She decides to speak up about this but wait. Hold up. Some guy who comments on Broadsheet noticed that nobody got outraged over a cartoon on Desperate Housewives. Cancel the demonstration!!!

    2. MoyestWithExcitement

I know you’re being sarcastic, but you’re right. Just as many women are convicted for murder and violent offences in general as men are…..oh hang on. No. That’s completely wrong. It seems men are far more violent than women. Oops.

    1. TheRealJane

I don’t live in those times. I still think he’s a silly old snowflake, getting all huffy and irked about women acting like people rather than the fragrant ladies of his imagination.

  4. Pat Harding

Do people in the Socialist Party (Rosa.ie) ever do any work….. It seems they always have time on their hands to protest and nothing else?

  5. Yowzah

Please End “The” Culture of Violence Against Women rather than the undefined.
    And liberate the sign writers

  6. Dhaughton99

Maybe it’s just me being a cynical mickey but I’m always suspicious of men who turn up to these kind of gatherings.

    1. snowey

I share your views…there is something “odd” about them .
They tend mostly to be the same type of men too.
scrawny types etc….(plenty of disparaging words)

or cucks as parts of the internet might call them,….

      1. MoyestWithExcitement

Yes, if a man tries to take a woman’s side in an argument, it MUST be because he’s trying to get laid. That could be the only reason. There’s no way he sees women as his equals, as people with legitimate grievances that are worth fighting for. I mean, YOU don’t see women as equal, so how could any other man? Right?

      1. martco

aaand yep I feckin knew it!

there’s Boj and Andrew skulking around in the background there

well I hope yez sold feck all tickets the pair of ye

        not impressed & duly noted!

          1. martco

            it’s okay

and sure tis just business at end of the day after all

and anyways these things turn up like the 46a…there’ll be another opp to make a few quid off this or something similar soon enuf ;)

  7. Andrew

That young white knight in the flat cap looks suspicious. He’s holding that banner in a very aggressive manner!

    1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

See Dhaughton99’s comment above. I replied to it but was *redacted* for being a rudey-pants.

      1. MoyestWithExcitement

They are. They’re organising and trying to affect change with real work. You’re whining on an internet message board.

          1. MoyestWithExcitement

If it helps you get through the day, sure. You should try some real life pals as well though. They’re pretty cool. It might help with your anger issues.

    1. snowey

yes dav – hooks proclaimed his support for rape and rapists……
      he actually supported them.

you may (wrongly) claim he sought to attribute blame on the victim but nowhere did he support rape or rapists.
in fact he went to great length to say otherwise.

      but ,….the narrative …I know….I know…

      1. dav

Well he didn’t really support rape victims, did he??
But you go ahead and ignore that, because of your narrative – which is akin to .. “like hitler, hook did nothing wrong…”

        1. rotide

You didn’t say anything about supporting rape victims.

          you said:
“Fair play to them in their fight against Hook’s supporting of rape and rapists.”
Which is demonstrably untrue. Go read what he said.

          You are blatantly lying.

      1. martco

it sort of grew on me

        Rick & Morty excellent

the one I can’t get my head around atall is Adventure Time, my teens at home have tried a couple of times, no, just don’t get it

    1. MoyestWithExcitement

While genuinely fupping excellent, a show about depression wouldn’t be my first port of call for a bit of ‘quick break laughs’.

  8. MoyestWithExcitement

It did, yeah. I’d say it’s been quite a while since anyone touched your nerves, if they’ve ever been touched by another person at all. The only people who believe white knighting is a thing are virgins and date-rapists.

        1. MoyestWithExcitement

It makes me feel like I’ve won. And I like to feel like I’ve won because nothing in real life gives me that feeling. For this, I blame feminists and black people.

    1. Andrew

yes, my comment was deleted by whomever censors this particular site. Calling peoplevirgins rapists is okay though.
      Isn’t freedom of expression great!
You can be as toxic as you like as long as it’s the right toxic

      1. Brother Barnabas

Sure look at Tony. Only five minutes in the gaff and he’s flinging vulgarities around left right and centre. I’ve spent months in modland for a fraction of that.

        1. Pete

Ah now in fairness Tony has been on BS for years afaik. Plus he was doing the opposite of vulgarities on the Frilly post there yesterday. Sure why would they censor the scientific names of things? They only censor words like tinky poo, winkley, and poopity poop.

          1. Nigel

Seriously, thought it was some weird bad-word mod substitution. You think I’m going to mock others for typos?
