    The present sure is tense.
    Best just to bunker down and hibernate.

    The Grauns front page is akin to story of the Town Mouse and Country Mouse.

      I have to commend you on that first line Henry.
      ‘The present sure is tense.;

      It’s beautiful.

    I think Ryanair is catching up with itself. Budget airline, certainly, un-equalled service a notoriety, not getting us home, as promised, unforgettable.

    Jebus H Cripes The Times Ireland edition, make a fecking effort would ya. Fupping headline would hardly interest anyone in the UK let alone in Ireland. Surely there is something more newsworthy than that bollards.

      Just what I was thinking also.

      How to confirm to cynics that you’re just an English paper with the words ‘Ireland Edition’ lobbed in for fun.

        Despite my hopes for Mayo tomorrow, it won’t reach the anticipation of despair for tonight’s “Up For The Match” on RTÉ. I’m wondering who they’ll wheel in. It’s always the most cringe-worthy of affairs.

            You know those old WW2 movies where the young lad heads off to the front, leaving his sweetheart behind?

            Things happen, Bertie.

    I’d partly agree in respect of Noirin o Sullivan, that the spotlight was relentlessly on her. However , she had plenty of clout internally from serving government and patient Police Authority. Had she come out in public and said that she has uncovered corruption at Garda College, that review of other cases exposed major flaws , that to implement ‘ root and branch change’ she was seeking additional extra staff , ( even from abroad) I think Joe Public would have supported her. Frankly, she made a hames of it, ducking and diving, and came across as a big part of the problem not of the solution.
