The government conspiracy against the Jobstown protestors has failed dismally. The people have witnessed the government attempt to use the state’s police force and judicial system to corrupt the the democratic rule of law.

Nonetheless, the Dinnybots will continue to flood the media with further lies and slander. See TV 3 for example. RTE likewise.

…a clear line seems to have emerged on foot of the right to water campaign. The protesters have achieved a famous victory despite the full force of state propoganda, bullying and threats. That this onslaught had the labour party at it’s vanguard was particularly sad.

There are 230 children waiting for scoliosis operations. Leo Varadkar – are you stark raving mad to be spending 160 million euro on a survey to assess the publics perception of our politicans ? Spend that money to send those children abroad as a matter of urgency instead . As a doctor and former health minister you come across as travelling on the gravy express train ,outrageous you leave young innocent children suffer.

Varadkar’s sole purpose as Taoiseach looks like being just trying to make him and his party look good. Never mind what’s going on in the real world. Leo’s first, and last, stint as Taoiseach. The grassroots are a clever bunch. They won’t have any qualms about teaching a few lessons, like dropping a TD or two, in order to get the party back to normal. And “normal” means a party not being run by a gay foreigner (not my words by the way, but a staunch Fine Gaeler I know)

@GiggidyGood, I get that impression too from the grassroots of the party. There seems to be a big disconnect.

It’s actually in Fianna Fáil too. The local grassroots are not one bit impressed at being painted as a wing of Fine Gael. They are well tuned in to what Michael Martin has turned Fianna Fáil into.

Was watching it the other night….nothing about Doctoring…seemed to be all about her banging her ex-husband and getting caught by their son…who sexually assaulted a school friend…. bizarre

I think the Ryanair pilots should absolutely work to rule but only because I haven’t got any flights booked any time soon.

True. But I’m not at all surprised that most mothers, if they had a real choice, would want to be working in the home.

I imagine the same goes for fathers. I’d love to be able to stay at home and see the family more.

Only a madman/woman (imho) would prefer the 9-5 slog (or shift work, or whatever) with commuting, stress, other people, etc over being at home caring for one’s family.

What you want is a bit of both. Work a 3-day week like I do. Otherwise you’d go bananas. Well, I would.
