Typical Fianna Gael and Fine Fail. Leave a back door in the water legislation so that charges WILL be introduced.
What other trogan horses have they made?

          1. GiggidyGoo

That’s because the substance wasn’t substantial. We get enough water that conservation only becomes an issue once every few years- drought for a week maybe in Dublin. Conservation in The intervening period will not stop such a drought occurring. We get enough water that conservation is not needed. We are not the Sahara. We are famous for the wetness of this country.

You’re clearly so bereft it would be remiss of me to continue prodding you with the dumb stick.

        LOL! :)

That’s funny stupid tho. Those fuppwits are not walking corridors of universities spreading hate and disinformation.

Knobs both, but I’d be more afraid of the ideological morons in academia than a fool like that guy.

          1. Clampers Outside!

            More simpleton nonsense.

if you believe that some moron who climbs into an animal cage, a Darwin Award contender, is scarier than heavily influencing the minds of decades of university graduates with hate and misinformation, then I’m not surprised which of the two you fear most.

          2. Clampers Outside!

I don’t believe what you assume, there is nothing to refute Nigel.

You’re scared people might be taught the simpleton misinformation that Nazis are bad. Okay.”
No. you assumed that from my having a view you don’t like.

That’s, an accusation in an assumption, simples. And full of all sorts of implied association, for the sheeple so inclined. Stop that, good lad.

      2. rotide

It’s incredible that black and white virtue signalling has reached a point where when someone correctly points to some people under the antifa banner being violent extremist thugs. they are labeled a nazi sympathizer

its actually worse than the journal here

        1. Nigel

But I didn’t, and I don’t, and rough as these exchanges get, I would apoloigise if I did. I just don’t think antifa are as scary as Nazis. Clampers disagrees. I wouldn’t label him a Nazi sympathiser in a fit. I just don’t think he’s thought this through.

          1. rotide

Both sets of people are dangerous idiots.

Maybe you aren’t labelling him but petey and blob below are doing a pretty good job.

It’s that cut and dried black and white view of the world that makes discussion around here so delightful

    1. petey

antifascists do great work. i notice your friends the fash, klansmen, etc have been … quieted. they’re having their “free speech” suppressed, eh.

      1. Clampers Outside!

        LOL! “my friends” wha’!
You do make a lot of assumptions pet.

I’m not for the group you support so i must be for the groups you don’t support… or something.

Leftist simpleton like reasoning never fails for giggles :)

        1. Nigel

Yeah I’d say there are plenty who feel that way but whipping a bunch of fringe radical anarchists who start fights with fascists into a big scary bogeyman,, that needs a bit of effort.

          1. Clampers Outside!

No Nigel, I did not. I said nothing about nazis. I spoke of antifa, and you jumped in rambling about nazis. Are you not able to view antifa without making some comparison to right wing extremists? Can you not see antifa for what they are for what they do themselves?

You have a very narrow and poor understanding of what antifa do and have done, besides their fighting far-right nutters.

          2. Nigel

Takes a bit of effort not to think about Nazis and the KKK when thinking bout antfa, frankly. I mean, you’d have to deliberately go out of your way to not think of it, you’d have to avoid it and deny it and dismiss it because you WANT to be more worried antifa than Nazis and the KKK. You’d have to pretend it wasn’t an important factor in the sudden prominence of antifa and people like you having hysterics over them while poo-pooing concerns about the rise of the far right. OBVIOUSLY the last thing you’d want to talk about when you talk about antifa is the Nazis.

          3. jusayinlike

Nigel why do you always take offense when clampers take’s a swipe at antifa? do you recognise with them?

        2. Amorphous Kerry Blob

I don’t read the journal that much myself.

I’m asking literally where do you go. What website/websites do you frequent yourself, where you feel supported for having the views you have, (the views that you feel might trigger others)? For Example: is it 4chan? Facebook? twitter?

          1. bisted

…there’s a bit in the Blues Brothers film where the two brothers are set sail for a bridge being blocked by nazis…the nazi have to jump into the river…always cheers my up when Jake says…’I hate Illinois nazis’…I hate all fascists…

          2. Amorphous Kerry Blob

            Just here?
(Wouldn’t have thought Broadsheet would have espoused the anti-feminism that pops up in your comments, for example.)

          3. Clampers Outside!

Because I give out about genuine issues that feminism perpetuates when I do give out about it. Simples.
I’ve no issue with equity feminism, it’s essentially egalitarianism under another name.
Gender/3rd wave feminism; broad application of Patriarchy theory; blank slate-ism; misandry; misinformation and nonsense ideas around the faux academic study of intersectionality theory; the abuse of autoethnography to the point of reducing it to simply diary taking and using it as academic work; the regressive (and now proven) nature of microagression theory; the loony side of gender theory prevalent in university profs, to the extent that some Profs say biological sex doesn’t even exist; cultural Marxism; the lies and biased research; the Duluth model of DV intervention; and so on… just to name a few of the issues feminism has under the umbrella of its ideology.

Apparently it is sexist to note these problems inherent in the wider sphere feminism. Odd that.. is it not? All ideological movements should have some scrutiny… I’m sure you’d agree the church deserved more scrutiny. So do the practices of feminists, for me in particular… The Duluth Model.

          4. Amorphous Kerry Blob

? You haven’t answered my question.

All the stuff in your last reply there, for example; where did you first come across that stuff? What websites do you go to where you feel supported for having these views?

          5. Clampers Outside!

I did answer, I said Broadsheet.

I also find articles on the internet, like anyone else, and they can come from regular publications like The Guardian or NYTimes to more specialist publications like Quillette, or govt stats sites, and so forth… look and you will find.

          6. Amorphous Kerry Blob

But as I said already, Broadsheet doesn’t espouse those views. Neither does the NYT or the Guardian. You certainly wouldn’t feel particularly supported for having those views on those sites.
So, your point of view, it all comes from Quillette and your own thinking?
The fact that your comments often showcase touch stones of the Alt Light, that’s just a coincidence then?

I mean, why not say you’ve been influenced by the views of the Alt Light when, to any discerning person reading your comments, you clearly have been. Why be ashamed of your views?

          7. Amorphous Kerry Blob

That was my point. You’re not naming the sources/influences of your worldview. It’s obvious you’re not. You name some (compared to your views) benign stuff like the NYT/Guardian.
Forgive my repetition, or if I’m spelling this out to an irritating degree, but if I wasn’t clear in my last post:
You expect people to believe that you’ve recieved your wisdom simply by reading Quillette articles, from those ‘benign’ sources mentioned previously, and from your own deductions.
All the while, your views often resemble those espoused by Alt Light sources.
That’s an amazing coincidence. Considering the amount of Alt Light touch stones you’ve showcased in your extensive commentary on this site; If you’ve never in fact been influenced by Alt Light sources, that’d be, amazing.

You come across as being afraid to admit the real sources that influence your worldview. When you avoid stating your real influences, it gives the impression that you’re in some way ashamed of your views. Why be ashamed?

          8. Clampers Outside!

pffft… plse I’ve done lists of reading numerous times in the past, provided links, named profs and publications in comments, etc.

Am i to go back through years of posts.. plse stop your nonsense, thanks. You search the site for posts by me.

Regarding Quillette, how many writers did you follow up on? And see what else they may have published…. and wherever that takes you. Check areomagazine as well; And look up HeterodoxAcademy, and those working there…. again these are just a few more off the top of my head.

          9. Amorphous Kerry Blob

            And repeat.

Regarding “You search the site for posts by me.”
If you really think that: Don’t worry, that’s not happening.

          10. Amorphous Kerry Blob

            Ok, no more questions.
It must be a coincidence then (the coincidence I mentioned earlier.) And none of the links you provided in the past, or profs you named in the past, or right leaning publications you refer to currently were ever recommended by Alt Light message boards or by Alt Light personalities. And if they were, it’s just a coincidence. You never gleaned those links/recommendations from said message boards/twitter feeds.

(Just removed the question marks there. Still getting the hang of this not asking questions thing.)

          11. Clampers Outside!

Nigel posted a link with pics of two anti-feminist women, I know, as it said ‘anti-feminist’ on their t-shirts, and they were standing in front of a nazi flag.

I guess Nigel must be an anti-feminist nazi, by your logic Kerry Blob, yeah?

Good luck implementing your logic…. and good luck finding fellow simpleton like persons to agree with it. God, Jehovah or whatever help us.

          12. MoyestWithExcitement

“I guess Nigel must be an anti-feminist nazi, by your logic Kerry Blob, yeah?”

No and no that wasn’t his logic. You’re *terrible* at logic.

        1. MoyestWithExcitement

You’re triggered every day. She asked you a simple question. It’s notable that you have refused to answer it, because you know you’ll give the game away. You espouse far right, extremist views. People like you are a legitimate threat to society. You are a depressed, 40 something year old singleton and you are mad about it. You don’t want to look at your own inadequacies though. You want someone to blame. You are the ideal prey for extremists and we’ve watched you descend into that madness right on these pages over the years. Maybe one day you’ll find happiness and look back at your behaviour with embarrassment. I doubt it though.

          1. Clampers Outside!

Em… I answered the question pet, the first time it was asked. You missed the joke darling.

” You espouse far right, extremist views. People like you are a legitimate threat to society. You are a depressed, 40 something year old singleton and you are mad about it. You don’t want to look at your own inadequacies though. You want someone to blame. Can I keep that… you know, to show to friends for a laugh… I think it’s hilariously hysterical :)

          2. Amorphous Kerry Blob

            I’m a dude, bro.
I’d ask you to guess who I am but I’m guessing you couldn’t give a monkey’s.

Wonder if that declaration of gender changes the tone of my comments for you now.

          3. MoyestWithExcitement

Why would it? Anyway, on first reading, and with your name, I thought you might be a prominent (often about abortion) tweeter from Kerry who often makes self depricating jokes about being overweight. Plus I always assume it’s a man if I don’t know so I thought a change’d be nice, like.
