      @ scuttser…
How did you know I lived on Old Kent Road, and about all the great bumming with me four. mates…?

And why do you have to bring up me Da’s job?
Yeah, so he wore cor-blimey trousers, but he was evicted from his Council flat for selling heroin to schoolchildren.
Get your facts straight before you start casting aspersions, pur-leeease.

        it was like a tan-fest.
and you should ask yourself, how many of those titles you mentioned can really call themselves ‘Irish’. eh? eh?

      Interesting Stat from yesterday

The attendance exceeded the sum of all 30 games in the recent Women’s Rugby World Cup

      1. Birdie

        That is an interesting stat.

Marie Hickey executed her strategic vision perfectly. She said her focus was always on grassroots. To think, during her tenure she grew attendance from 3,000 to what it was yesterday. Some accomplishment.

          1. Birdie

True, but you can’t deny her stewardship helped get it to where it is today through clever commercial partnerships etc.

Are you surprised. I watched a bit of the so called ” World Cup” The standard was atrocious. Dreadful stuff. The D4 RTE crowd of course insisted on using part of the licence fee to televise the Ireland games. The fact that 99% of the population couldn’t care less about it is irrelevant to them – just keep a small cohort in RTE (Nugent & co) happy.
Good standard of football yesterday. Staunton is some player. The Dubs played a very similar style football to the men, if little more gung-ho.

I wouldn’t be pointing any fingers at RTE for showing the Womens World Cup

Fair play to them; Gender Equity en’all that. Like you wouldn’t get to complain about the Pay gaps out there otherwise

what I would question is the 99.99% of Rubby heads that didn’t bother supporting the event and the Women’s Ireland side
          that’s the real argument imo

        You cannot knock Jesus.

You probably could if he was ‘real’, but he isn’t.
        – You just feel foolish for engaging.

Fair play to him for being born White in Bethlehem. That was a miracle.
