Please tell me broadsheet still pays you. Either per joke or on retainer, you’re too good to do this for free.

Just as a slightly related aside, I was in Marks and Spencer this morning and I see they’re inviting people to buy special food for bonfire night. A Google search tells me this is Guy Fawlks, an anti Catholic celebration.

A brave pitch in Ireland, I thought.

my first November working in the UK and colleagues asked me if i was coming along to the the (company organised) fireworks and booze-up.

        I felt mighty conflicted…

Yes, I can imagine seeing that logo must destroy the illusion that you are literally up a road in the middle ages. They had cars and mobile phones and optometrists in medieval times as well I hear.

The city is administered by a borough council (and a mayor), which is a level below that of city council in the local government of the state, although the Local Government Act 2001 allows for “the continued use of the description city”. The borough’s population is 8,711, but the majority live outside the borough boundary: the 2011 Irish census gave the total population of the borough and environs as 24,423.

They lost me when I saw they included Limerick in the “East”. I suppose “The bits of the country not on the Wild Atlantic Way” was rejected by the focus group.

When Sports Direct opened in Dublin City Centre council had to take action to get them to remove illegal signage
