Thank goodness we don’t have to put up with any more of those tedious chest-thumping Guinness adverts.

So the double-whammy of defeat.
Last night another sad journey into the oblivion of international football for the next year and then this morning confirmation that Ireland once again isn’t the best country in the world just because everyone loves the Irish.
Take it like a man lads and don’t indulge in the petty whingeing like the IRFU last week complaining about South Africa when really they should have had their eye on the French.
Wonderful country France, just a shame it’s full of French people.
And don’t lose heart completely.Ireland are still good at some sports.Paddy Lambe still retains the world record for bog-snorkelling with a time of 1.19 set at the Irish Bog Snorkelling Championships in September 2016 .

There’s so much good material involved with Irish international sport it’s hard to know where to start.
But wildly celebrating second place or celebrating the best supporters in the world when crashing out of a competition with the worst record in its history is always one place I suppose.
Glad you enjoy my musing though.
