Rather than follow the lemmings and passiveness of society by accepting all that is thrown at us; maybe tackle the Council appointed Mafia whom bully and extort money and time from people for victimless crimes.

Illegal parking quite often is NOT a victimless crime.
Any other laws and rules we should ignore because ‘the man’ etc.?

HOLY JEBUS……. SOMEBODY CALL THE GUARDS/NATIONAL SECURITY, there is a car on double yellow lines here in Dublin 2, and wait no hang it’s a Garda personal private vehicle.

Thank flip for that, the relevant Garda must know how to park his private vehicle on double yellows without any victims.

The vehicle in the video posted appears not to have parked in a disabled space; rather it appears likely that the driver (assuming the angle grinder operator is the driver of the vehicle) parked at home…..

So in the video above the “crime” as you call it, appears victimless.

In addition, and staying on topic; who is the victim of the alleged illegal parking in the video above?

I’m quite happy to let them bully and extort people who think they can park where they like actually.

Lampposts along Ormond Quay [and elsewhere, I assume] have notices offering angle grinder for “loan” for €30. Number to call and says something like “Am on scooter and can be at location in 10 minutes”

So probably going to see a lot more of this.

ooh – the po-po come down hard on anyone cutting dublin city council clamps, St. Patrick Greenjeans there would want to lay low for a while, ….private clamp operators, meh, civil matter..grind away lad..

They’re probably his favourite pants too and now will have to be binned due to this exposure of his illegal activity.
However I see no double yellows and it’s a one way street so plenty of room for other cars. Parking is just a money making exercise now.

I know right, theres loads of driving lanes around the city that we should just park in. Money grabbing b*st*rds

    2. Barry the Hatchet

There are no double yellows, but there is a sign a couple of feet behind where this eejit is parked, which blatantly says no parking Mon-Sat 07-19. He’s blocking a left-turn lane. There is legitimate parking around the corner. He’s a moron.

They’ll have his Reg so no getting away from them. It’s illegal to remove a clamp. (Not that I could help myself applauding recently when I saw a guy cut one off his van).

I always wondered. If you could pick the lock and just put it on a lamppost how much trouble would you actually get in. Could you claim they didn’t lock it properly and your not paying for removal?

I think they note your reg and if your vehicle is caught in a no park zone again it gets towed directly to car jail where it costs even more to get back. but if your good and never do it again (or sell the vehicle) your fine.
