The Echo Chamber podcast.
Hosts Tony Groves and Martin McMahon (left) are joined in the ‘tortoise shack’ by Joan Collins, Independent TD for Dublin South Central.
Martin writes:
When the book is written on this age of austerity, Joan will be remembered as a constant voice for the ordinary citizen. Her challenging of the promissory note alone was a battle cry that rejected the “we are where we are” BS that is used to defend the many crises facing the country.
We discuss: The day Joan confronted outgoing Taoiseach Bertie Ahern; the worsening housing and homelessness emergency; what is next for the Irish Labour Party.; How close we really came to a Christmas election. And how, by having open conversations, the #RepealThe8th referendum can be won.
Not sure there’s any strong language, for once!
At first glance I thought Mary Byrne and Christy Dignam had brought out a Christmas single….
Bravo sir. Well said indeed.
mighty headline, in fairness
*goes off to find Norman Lamont*…
I thought Joan Collins only joined the promissory note case post the High Court stage when it was ruled that David Hall had no case as he wasn’t a TD and they needed someone to carry it to the Supreme court
not a fan of this lady. I don’t think she offers much .
Mary Lou without the fanboys.
Never heard a positive proposal from this person.
Maybe they should have asked her about giving family members jobs, after giving out about nepotism.
She needs to cut down on the Players.
