of all the kids’ poop I’ve been exposed to, spongebob is the worst – I’d watch Dora over it

I’m quite partial to a bit of Flapjack, and the Powerpuff girls. I say this with not a shred of embarrassment.

Ooooo I must take a look: the snotzer likes bloody Maisy Mouse and Clifford’s Puppy Days.

I downloaded the soundtrack to play to her at nighttime before sleepies.
            I hate that bloody show.
Whooooooooooooo’s not in bed? Iggle PIGGLE’S not in bed.
            I know every inflection.

I know every sound, word and utterance of the makka pakka song – and like to think I can do it quicker and with more rhythm than makka pakka himself/herself. i created my own accompanying dance too.

(i like to think of us as being like upsy daisy and iggle piggle)

Ha. I like to freestyle the Makka Pakka song.

I’d prefer to think of us as two looming Haa Hoos.

We’re big fans of pocoyo in our house.

Shout out to Abney and Teal for pure charm and whimsy, and Nelly and Nora because it’s a gorgeous little Irish cartoon.

We’re still a Thomas the Tank Engine household but….
we prefer the cartoons to the Ringo animation era.
          Philistines, I know.

that’s disappointing when it happens. I spotted the incredible hulk (cartoon) being watched. I announced, “well if you think that’s good, have a look at THIS” and found the old TV series on YouTube. thirty seconds in – “this is crap. I prefer mine”

I had a similar experience when I downloaded “Monkey” for my older lads.
I was so excited, I thought they’d LOVE it, the look of confusion and disdain on their faces in the brief time they watched it will haunt me til I die.

i bought the Monkey box set! in fairness, I was a bit disappointed too – hasn’t aged well. used to be the most exciting thing in my life.

            you’re simplifying it a bit

monkey was born from an egg on a montaintop and became the king of a monkey tribe – “the punkiest monkey that ever popped”. after achieving enlightenment, he binges the peaches of immortality and of course becomes immortal. unfortunately that attracts the ire of the gods and he’s imprisoned for 500 years to learn patience and humility. but he gets released by tripitaka who’s leading a pilgrimage from china to india on behalf of the boddhisatva guanyin. they’re joined by a water monster sandy (who was thrown out of heaven for being a cannibal) and the pig monster, pigsy, who offended the heavens with his lsut and gluttony.

they just don’t make them like that anymore

Haha the simplification was a result of the passage of time, but I think we’re talking about the same story if not format. He’d two buddies if I recall. I’d books of that, and I saw a live action thing in recent years (from many years ago).

I love Nelly and Nora. Abney and Teal kind of annoys me and I don’t know why.

Hey Duggee wins in our gaff. I love it. I mean, she loves it.

Puffin Rock is so cute but those bloody accents. When babyandourp talks about it, she sounds SCURRY. Pure SCURRY.
