‘Labour Against the Witch-hunt Group’ calls for kevin’s reinstatement
Poet Kevin Higgins continues his fight against suspension from the UK Labour Party.
London-born, Galway-based and Corbyn-supporting, Kevin was suspended for penning inflammatory verse against Tony Blair among others.
Kevin writes:
This (above) is a letter that’s been sent (by the UK based ‘Labour Against the Witch-hunt Group’) to the newly elected National Executive Committee of British Labour Party.
When was the last time the ruling body of a major political party discussed poetry?
The objectionable poem (or at least one of them) can be read here

midget parasite
I have no idea what any of this is about but that is a very precise and impressive put-down.
try googling it
Labour used him sharing his poem to the TUSC facebook group among other posts as “evidence” of his support of other political partys/TUSC, they did not object to the poem itself. Whether they right or wrong to use this evidence to suspend him is another question but of course he knows that. Oppressed poet is Kevin’s thing it seems, part of his self-publicity. http://mentioningthewar.blogspot.ie/2017/03/my-ongoing-love-affair-with-governance.html
Help! I’m being repressed!
I really can’t see why anyone not heavily involved in British Labour should give a stuff about the internal discipline of a political party. It’s hardly surprising that parties should be wary of people who, until very recently, openly supported various political parties that run or in the past ran candidates in opposition to their own.
quite right old boy.
not my monkeys, not my circus.
Walker and Greenstein aren’t being disciplined for “criticising Israel ” but for nasty anti-semitism. Jon Lansman has had to close down Momentums youth wing because the anti-semitic trolling got so bad. I’m suprised Kevin is involved with this grouping some of whose FB postings called for Blair to be hung.
That’s outrageous, Blair should have a trial first….then hung.
Who cares?
