Come on. I went to a very well known Dublin rugby school. I’d say ninety percent of the SCT were using steroids. All this hypocrisy over Munster. Rugby is loaded with drugs. It has to be. Players getting bigger, attrition getting harder.

      1. Shayna

Luckily the GAA in Dublin is drug free – The Dubs didn’t win 3 in a row in any particularly enhanced state.

ah now frillz – as you well know, you can only beat what’s in front of you

if you’re saying that Dublin team isn’t all that much, you’re engaging in some silly revisionism

being a good winner matters. being a good loser matters too.

            Not saying that at all
Dublin were by far the best Football side in the Championship
And they’ll do 4 in a row at a cantor

No amount of excuses can deny that Dublin had produced the best Championship Football in 30 years

          3. Shayna

To be fair, we’d have had a 3 in a row, this millenium. Unfortunately, Cormac McAnnallen’s untimely demise left Tyrone a tad distracted.
            @Brother, Tyrone types aren’t classy?

          4. Brother Barnabas

            not at all, shayna

when I think of tyrone types, I think suave, urbane, cultured and classy

and I think you more than any other epitomise all that in one beautiful nugget

            Are not in a row

Ye did pick up a back 2 back alright
            At U-21

Incidentally, I’m going to contradict the stuff you’ve posted here. As far as I know Tyrone only made their 1st AIl Ireland in the 80s
            (I’m going to guess 85 or 86)

          6. Brother Barnabas

            first was in 1986

7 points ahead of kerry at one point. ended up losing by 8.

was it that day the bitterness was born?

          7. Frilly Keane

            Yeah Brudder
Knew the years they definitely weren’t kinda thing

            I’m not a bit bitter
            Honestly

          8. Shayna

I did say, “would have won”, 2003, (2004 – Cormac RIP), 2005. ’86 was the unfortunate penalty incident when Kevin McCabe (The Prince of Tyrone) drove the ball over the bar, instead of netting it. Pat Spillane was a terrible handful, literally unmarkable. ’95 – Dublin seemed to be at an advantage when they played with 16 men, Charlie Redmond didn’t realize he’d been taken off, decided to play on for 5 minutes, Peter Canavan’s diving punch wasn’t a foul ball.

          9. Frilly Keane

            Ara here Shayna
            We’d all a’had 3 4 5 in a rows with a’bitta
            If this had’a
            If he had’a
            If
            If

            G’wan ou’that
Interesting that you would mention Kevin McCabe btw
            Open ta’ correction
But wasn’t he yere 1st All Star
            80s ish?

Btw. Charlie Redmond wouldn’t even get a start on today’s Dublin side
So what damage he’d a done back then isn’t saying much about your crowd on the day

I doubt if there is any other Irish party with substantial memberships who hold such polar opposite opinions on social issues. I personally wish Mary Lou the very best in her new role.

jasus poor oul James McCarthy. the lad just can’t catch a break atall. don’t go looking for the pictures unless you’ve a good stomach. hopefully it’s fixable & sure Seamus Coleman can help him recover he knows the hard road. best of luck to him.

Ballsdotie has it on their instagram – with no warning….I would rather not have seen it.

Been wondering for years when the child-rapists’ holy work in Africa would come to light. Clohessy is the first thread that will unravel the whole filthy story.

And now the Broadsheet prayer on a Sunday.

      Dear God,

Please save me from your followers.

      Amen.

  3. Fiona

Is there something wrong with me criticizing men of religion abusing the vulnerable? Give me strength if that’s wrong.

    1. Topsy

Obviously there is, your comment was taken down. Why not express your disdain at fathers, brothers, uncles etc abusing their own children & relatives. Far more prevalent amongst family members than religious orders.

      1. Brother Barnabas

presumably, Topsy, because Fiona is commenting on the newspaper headlines – one of which happens to be about a prominent religious order covering up a spate of child abuse allegations. i’d guess Fiona would be equally appalled about any other perpetrator of abuse being protected.

why do critical comments about religious organisations covering for paedophiles bother you?

    1. Frilly Keane

      Ah now
Calm da’ fú you know the rest
      down
Just ’cause there’s nothing said doesn’t mean we’re all silent

      FYI
Don’t ever make that type of assumption for me
