Lisa Hannigan – Teardrop

I shot this video of Lisa Hannigan performing Teardrop by Massive Attack (originally sung by Elizabeth Fraser) at the awesome Turning Pirate mixtape show on New Year’s Eve in Vicar Street
In fairness.

Never understood the Hannigan thing. She’s mediocre at best.
I like her.
Quality is in the ear of the listener (it something like that). I saw her at the national concert hall on Saturday night and she was far from mediocre. There were performances from a load of other excellent singers but she stood out by far.
I couldn’t get tickets to that. Am very jealous.
Her version of send in the clowns is sensational
That’s a great take on a great song. Cocteau Twins and Massive Attack recorded two of the best albums ever. Heaven or Las Vegas and Blue Lines.
Protection vs Blue Lines?
There’s a contentious one
I’m a Mezzanine guy. Make of that what you will.
Magic. She’s a national treasure.
Gotta feel for Damien Rice
She’s a vowel murderer.
Murder most vowel
I enjoyed that. Nice.
Very nice.
