…schools here have been doing that for years…you could only buy the clothes from a specified outlet even though they were much cheaper outlets…brown envelopes may be involved…
This is normal in private education. The Eton uniform costs GB£1,000 per child, including two tail suits (for a twelve-year old). This is to indoctrinate children with the conviction that conspicuous consumption is normal. They’ll grow up, get a GB£200,000 per anum job and still only feel like they’re “scraping by”. The 1% have to be deliberately trained to be that greedy.
