The Clintons visit to Belfast may/not happen because of the collapse of Stormont? To be fair, if I were a former President of the USA, I couldn’t dream of an excuse to not visit Belfast, then it’s handed on a plate. (A friend who was staying at the same hotel played the banjo and sang Irish Rebel songs to the Secret Service the last time they were over -they apparently loved it).

And our teashock little Leo verruca or alias Leo the cheque is in the post varadka is pretty casual about the whole affair
This can and will lead to sinn feinn failing to keep the rabid factions of republican terrorism in line
As long as foster holds to power to keep may in power stormont is just a pipe dream just think why would unionists share power when they can hold power over the British government?
!Sinn feinn needs to take its seats in the British parliament where the green card can be played
Its no longer about kissing the queens arse and recognising colonial rule its about serving your people
Lets face it our leaders kiss the frau’s arse
      So what is the difference?

Not surprised Fine Gael are well ahead. Micheal Martin had his chance to call an election over the Minister for Justice fiasco a couple of months ago. The clock is ticking but not for an election. Bye Bye Micheal. Hello Mary lou. Sinn Fein et al will pick up lots of fed-up FFers.

…so a conference to be attended by Bertie, Tony Blair and crooked Hillary may be called off…it’s an ill wind…

Whatever their faults, they were the people who pushed the GFA across the line. Well not Hillary but same principle.

Right not crooked Hillary but bill never came across that face before clinton in the ovary office
Sadly fine Gael and the GFA are not a good combination for as I remember under fine Gael it stalled
It seems little Leo verruca is way above his head

I’m sure you unproven conspiracy theories are all very nice but in the real world we tend to deal in facts. If Bertie, Hillary and Tony can so anything to get the northern show back on the road, very few will object.

            “unproven conspiracies..”

            Lybia – millions dead
            Iraq – millions dead
            Afghanistan – millions dead
            Syria – millions dead

very much enjoying the oul winter olympics on the telly – it’s way more dramatic wacky & fun than the regular olympics – some of the rules are tricky but it’s a fab watch

And what about all the athletes like Simone bales who could legally use banned drugs for their medical conditions?
Ever look at the mussel mass athletes have and wonder did they use steroids to build up the mass then stop when it came to competitions ,so when tested the substances were not in their systems?

ah. well you see I’ve personally given up now on any shred of credibility existing across the board…Athletics, Boxing, Cycling….Z (I can’t think of a sport beginning with Z off top of my head) the cheating is intrinsic now down to grassroots level. It used to get me worked up, watching barefaced lying cheats like Armstrong, Wiggins and the rest getting away with it but I’ve gone the opposite direction now…televised sports nowadays is just entertainment laughs now for me..I’d love to see them take away all the limitations….let em take all the drugs they want, have ops to attach wheels or extra arms or install cybernetic implants or whatever does it & let’s them be fastest/strongest in the competition and win at all costs!!
I have no idea if there’s cheating going on at the Winter Olympics (I’ll assume there is) but I’m enjoying it immensely, just major entertainment!

The BBC are reporting that one of the Russia curlers has failed a drug test. FFS why would anyone need to take illegal drugs to compete at curling.

Its because of the money an athlete can get
Gone the day of amateur athletics now its professional and with it greed
The sport is infested with drugs etc and as soon as they test for one a new one starts being used

        2. rotide

Well in fairness there is such a thing as out of competition testing which specifically targets behaviour such as that.

However, it is hard to have any faith in anything anymore especially with all the revelations and fallout from the russian doping programme
