Feck all grit ’round here in the icy North East – road to Carlingford gritted on one side only so it’s like Rollerball*out there!

*A lot of locals still rockin’ the Jimmy Caan perm and the John Beck ‘stache.

        Aye. This is important.

Also, I love Carlingford. Spent many a summer there in my youth.

I am indeed a Louth man, Janet. I have a slightly lighter accent than the mean – thanks, primary school – but not by much: when Stuart Carolan did Dundalk Man on Today FM, friends were convinced I supplied the voice.

I live near Carlingford and hike in the hills most every weekend but a liquid/solid lunch in O’Hares undoes all the good work.

Looking out the window: it’s a whiteout, people!

      swoon…that deserves a poem
      clears throat

Snow and dirty rain ? light brought in in buckets
I was trying describe the kingdom, but the letters kept smudging as I write them, the hunters heart, the hunters mouth
the trees and the trees and the space between the trees, swimming in gold
the words frozen, the creatures frozen, the plum sauce leaking out of the bag
      explaining will get us nowhere
I was away, I don’t know where, lying on the floor
