   Salt is expensive and in short supply. The available science is that salt is effective after 20 seconds and that once you hit 20 seconds the salt can be lifted and used elsewhere. This clip from Carlow is textbook. They can clearly be seen allowing the salt the required 20 seconds “dwell time” and then promptly lifting it for re-use elsewhere.

   This efficiency should be applauded rather than ridiculed.
