We’re voting to remove the 8th amendment from the constitution and to grant the Oireachtas the power to legislate for abortion.

        1. ReproBertie

That’s part of the legislation the government hope to introduce if the referendum is passed.

This has been covered in newspapers and on websites for weeks. For someone who won’t be deciding until you know what you’re voting on you don’t seem to have done much to educate yourself.

          1. Alan

woooooooooooo. Take a chill pill. I will make an informed decision once I read the exact wording of the referendum. Whats the point of listening to hard lined pro choice and anti abortionists shouting at each other until then. When I listen to hardliners I rebel. The comment you made above just turns me against that type of person.

          2. ReproBertie

The wording of the referendum won’t carry any specifics on what will come in the legislation to follow and that’s the whole point. But you know that. You’ve already decided. You’re voting to deny women the basic right of bodily autonomy. You’re just attempting to muddy the waters with this wait and see áiféis.

          3. ReproBertie

Sure Alan, sure. You’re just ignoring all the information available to passive aggressively post doubts about deciding without knowing what we’ll be asked.

Frill I have absolutely no idea what you’re trying to say.

Simply put, Alan here is not the first person to wander into Broadsheet and proudly announce that they won’t be deciding until X despite X being freely available. This is an important issue and it irritates me to see laziness and wilful ignorance posted as if ti was a virtue.

BS has my IP address. You write columns for them so presumably you have email addresses. Ask them where I’m posting from.

If that’s too much hassle, follow me back on Twitter and I’ll send you a copy of my work ID.

This “Shill” BS because people disagree is pathetic.

Don’t think I’ve ever called anyone a troll or a shill and I’ve certainly never abused you on any of your columns.

Are you sure you’re not mistaking me for someone else?

      1. david

Exactly the point granting the oireachtas the power to legislate exactly what?
        this is what disturbs me
We do not know exactly what will replace it?

    2. david

      Exactly
To remove something but we do not know what is replacing it
      Maybe its a fiscal space
And meanwhile if you do not put on the green jersey you are vilified

      1. ReproBertie

Another Retainer pretending to be undecided.

If you’re happy to force 12 year olds to carry a baby to term vote No. If you think that shouldn’t happen vote Yes. It’s really that simple.

        1. david

I do not like holding a baby up who actually is not old enough to even speak let alone vote to support unlimited abortion in a photo op
And the other photo of someone dressed up like a blooms day character
Is it Nora barnacle or actually a suffragette
          The overnight bags ?
I cannot see the relevance is it to avoid paying for luggage for a cheap ryanair flight or a symbolic gesture of empowerment

        2. david

Well I will vote no and others who will not be carried out on a wave of hysteria will also vote no as savita is hijacked by those who want abortion on demand to further their cause
Such a shame because the savitas will just leap happening again and again thanks to this PC circus

          1. ReproBertie (SCU)

A fella who thinks it’s fine to force 12 year olds to give birth trying to claim the high moral ground?

          2. david

No Nigel weak minded is being a sheep
Strong minded is to stand up for your beliefs as others ridicule you

Just out of shot is the Tanaiste bobbing up and down in the surf with a Finding Dory inflatable ring and toy mask and snorkel combo.

The referendum question hasn’t been formulated yet has it?

So they’re saying yes to “Repeal the 8th” or “Leave the 8th as it stands”

    Confusing.

    1. ReproBertie

Be sensible. No referendum will ask people to vote Yes to keep the status quo. It will always be Yes to change, No to stay as we are.

  3. Gabby

What are the small suitcases for? to carry on board to fly to Britain if the No side win it?
