The Bubbles On Lough Erne

at

Behold the rentable ‘romantic retreats’ of Finn Lough Bubble Domes – within a complex located in a 50 acre forest at Aghnablaney on the shores of Lower Lough Erne in Fermanagh.

Four poster beds, ensuite bathrooms, daily breakfast, fluffy robes and a view of, well, everything really.

but where do you wee? How do they keep them inflated — would there be constant fan noise? and that telescope is gonna be pretty useless inside the dome as the structure is plastic, not glass.

anyone who has tried to sleep in a greenhouse (long story) whilst it’s lashing rain will know the noise levels would leave yer ears ringing never mind sleep. cute idea but flawed.

I’d have to agree with the flawed idea, it would be freezing in the winter, and you’d be woken with the dawn in the summer so unlikely to get a good night’s sleep even if it is dry.

@ Stephen, a friend of mine has stayed there, she had none of these Negative-Nancy complaints afterwards. With some people, you could give them the moon and stars and they’d want Neptune too ;-)

These bubbles in the forest are magical, I’m staying in one in the summer, what a place! Fermanagh has so much to offer, afternoon tea on a mini cruise on Lough Erne was delightful on a previous visit, wide variety of water sports to try there too.

Agreed. I wish they’d let us have Fermanagh. They could’ve had Cavan instead. Or Louth.

Just a thought that keeps me awake sometimes.
Why does nobody ever seem to mention Lough Neagh and its environs?
It’s like it doesn’t really exist. “Just back from a wonderful trip around Lough Neagh”, says nobody ever.
    Not to me anyway…
