Its amazing that in 2018 they don’t already have a standardized sex education program for all schools in Ireland.
If the anti-choice crowd weren’t so busy with the upcoming referendum you can be guaranteed they would’ve attempted to sabotage this Bill. Great work by Solidarity.

FG won’t say if they support or oppose the bill. FF opposed to it. Mattie McGrath opposed to it as it would have an impact on the “characteristic spirit of schools” and according to the Irish Times report “The legislation next goes to committee stage but because it is a private member’s Bill it is likely to languish without progress.”
Getting it this far highlighted the problem at least and I sincerely hope the Irish Times is wrong.
