“put up legally”?
‘In compliance with the relevant laws’ presumably.
They had all the required contact and printer information and were placed on a pole that isn’t blocking roadsigns, or an ESB pole.
They seem to be accusing the no side
Where is the proof?
I drove from skibbereen to cork city yesterday to the cash and carry and any no poster that was up on the road last week were gone
But quite a few yes posters hanging there
Leitrim? Is it really all that surprising. They voted No along with Rosscommon during the gay marriage referendum on religious grounds and that was only about some quAAAREEEE fellas that weren’t really hurting anyone.
Well the Labour party now busy putting up their posters in same location.
And all along the road from skibbereen to cork city
Strange all the no posters have disappeared
If you put them back, no more will be said.
I believe Leitrim as a county voted yes, it was roscommon that voted no.
if only we had abortion we would have less angry souls like the one who carried out this.
Yes with abortion those little souls will be in heaven
Unlikely as there are no souls and there is no heaven.
Where is the proof?
Exactly, where is it? There is none because it’s a fairy tale as fairy tales are for children.
There is only consciousness and it’s either switched on or off.
so explain the subconscious?
Which apparently where addictions lie
This never switches off
If you’re unconscious you won’t have to worry about your addictions
They feel morally superior cause they go to mass “of a Sunday” then to the pub for 6 pints Guinness before heading home to the roast dinner at 2.30pm on the button. Read the paper, Angelus, have the tay, watch Glenroe (the have it recorded on VHS as there’s no show like it since), pub 6 more pints, drive home “sure if someone is knocked down and kilt, they shouldn’t have been out walkin at that hour”. Abortion is totally different than running someone over.
Tis good to rant.
Grumpy old men be grumpy old men. No surprise.
It’s ironic, isn’t it, someone complaining about posters, in support of an embryo being torn from a womb, being torn down.
The vast majority of abortions up to 12 weeks are by pill so there is no tearing but, carry on throwing drama if it makes you feel better Shane.
Its the ones like savita’s which was what this was about that will need suction crushing of foetus skulls and clamps and some with a knife
This amendment was never for abortion on demand it was about saving lives of mothers.
If savita had not died there would of been no abortion referendum
Now we face handicapped being aborted in Ireland
All will be revealed in scans and these little souls will have no chance of life
“handicapped”
You really are living in the 1950s
Right, so what I’ve gathered from your comment is that another death like Savita’s is preferable to a child being aborted. Please correct me if I’m wrong because… jeepers david that’s awful.
As has been stated so many times before, no woman actively wants an abortion. It’s not some trendy procedure that all the ladies want. We’re acutely aware that abortion involves the taking of a potential life.
Oh just stop it you nasty little troll. You know she lived in this country, you know that people reading this will have known her personally, have some respect and shut the hell up.
@SOQ, don’t tell him that, he’ll start attacking the sanitary towel bins next..
what half truths savita was refused an abortion and that was after 12 weeks
There is now no argument for ‘Yes’. Just zealots stamping their feet and wailing “IT’S NOT FAIR!!”
There’s plenty of good arguments. You’d rather not hear them. It’s that simple really.
it’s like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife..
If it were a grapefruit spoon, it would function as a knife.
She didn’t think it through.
I must get some, actually. They’re vicious. I have fish knives as I have notions, but this would be another level altogether. Jaykers. I do great thinking in the afternoons.
grapefruit can inhibit the correct functioning of the contraceptive pill
now you know
And kiwi fruit in a jelly will stop it setting.
Yeah. It’s a funny one. I think you’ve to be careful eating it when you’ve high blood pressure.
I do love a campari with fresh pink grapefruit juice.
I have a cherry pipper
beat that
I have one of them fancy yokes that cores and slices apples all in one slick move.
I can’t. I LOVE cherries.
Has brother b been round to pop yours yet?
He’d need to have popped around in a time machine.
BAH DUM TISH!

boiled gooseberries, apparently
this time tomorrow?
That is NSFW.
Heh.
Gooseberries tighten the vadge. Who knew? I’m actually eating G’s gooseberry jam at the moment so it’ll be like a gnat’s crack.
Ahh, yizzers deleted it. Now I look like a monster raving looney.
wa-hey! ahead of schedule
Oh, they didn’t delete it. HOORAY! Now you can all watch it.
I brought napkins.
napkins? you’ll need a bucket and mop, mildred
That’s an awful lot of effort.
It’s to be expect. The No Fanatics want to supress women’s freedom, so of course they would want to supress free speech.
you sort of get the impression that the political parties advocating a yes vote secretly want to lose this referendum. there’s little debate, only the no side hammering home their lies.
I’m sure the people out campaigning every day, who set up stands in towns and villages all over the country to talk and hand out leaflets and who organise meetings and workshops and are going from door to door, really appreciate this kind of thing. The idea that the No side is wining because they’re screaming their lies the loudest and pulling down the most Yes posters is another No lie.
I’m still waiting patiently for Leo and Simon and Simon to appear on TV debating the referendum proposal and planned legislation.
I’m sure that’s coming. Any day now they’ll appear to debate the issues.
Have to admit, the no side are very well organised, their posters completely outnumber the yes side by a sizeable amount. Perhaps this is the reason? Anyway, its all down to turnout next month for the yes side.
No. The No side were out early and strong with the campaigning and postering. The Yes side are just now getting into top gear.
I really don’t think any reasonable person doubts that there are scumbags in the No camp and scumbags in the Yes camp who are pulling down or defacing posters. It is widespread and it is a scummy thing to be doing.
True that.
Although with all the wind we are having there are quite a few of the original “Yes” posters beginning to look very threadbare, and they don’t look like they will last another 4 weeks.
I’m thinking of ones up very high on lampposts that haven’t been attacked by people.
Same stuff happened with marriage referendum. Do posters even really make a difference, you won’t be able to stop people taking them down. And again, crucial time for debate and discussion is going to be taken up with “which side is behaving worse”.
Be a good idea if Leitrim no voters actually visited a few places outside of Leitrim they might just cop on to how much of a backwards dark ages minority they actually are. Amadans they will be a joke when the whole country votes a resounding YE S!
Mr Crudden- do you not have anything else to be worrying about? Always with the SJW angle
Yeah. My male pattern baldness. Are you one of the micro MIGAs?
