The Here’s How podcast
Host William Campbell (above left) meets the Iona Institute’s David Quinn (left).
William writes:
With the Repeal the 8th campaign in full swing, it’s time to look back at the claims made by campaigners in previous referendums.
I ask David Quinn of the Iona Institute whether he still stands over the claims he made during the Marriage Equality campaign including this one: “Should the referendum pass, a same-sex couple could demand a right to marry in a church … In Denmark, we have already seen that the Lutheran Church, a State Church admittedly, has been forced to conduct same-sex weddings.”

David Quinn gets far too much airtime. He tweeted something a few weeks ago about men not being given enough credit for their work and newstalk spent what seemed like a week covering this one tweet. The vast majority disagree with him on most things yet there’s alway shock and uproar over his mutterings
Noticeobxing
he has an institute, though
I agree. He gets far more notice than you would imagine one guy might. But this isn’t his problem (quiet the opposite in fact). He gets airtime because tv and radio producers need talking points and someone willing to talk….especially on awkward topics.
Exactly, he gets the switchboard jammed, and that means happy advertisers.
Let him continue. He causes more harm to his ’cause’ than anyone else.

SHOES?
Lets attack him as much as we can, that way we can ignore the the logic he uses.
His logic is that an imaginary old man in the sky doesn’t want certain things to happen but refuses to anything about it, despite being omnipotent.
